I was thinking of saving up for a fightstick, and I've narrowed it down to two brands I was thinking about. On one hand, an Ice Red Qanba Q4 is cheaper, useable by three systems (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC), and it has the carrying handle. On the other hand, while the Foehammer S7 is much more expensive (even moreso if you add in a silent joystick & Xbone compatibility), you can commission a custom design, the start, select, and home buttons are out of the way, and it's much more versatile (compatible with PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Dreamcast, PC, Xbone with an added fee, and it has a free PS4 driver coming soon). What do you guys think?

TL;DR EightArc Qanba Q4 Ice Red or Foehammer S7, which should I save for?

I would personally go with the Qanba. As nice as the S7 is, the price is overkill and you are basically paying for a custom build. If the Qanba were to need replacements down the line it would be much easier to swap out Sanwa parts on it compared to the S7 I think. While compatibility with XBO and PS4 are currently up in the air, the price is just too ridiculous for that.

I have honestly never heard of the Foehammer but I'm always cautious of sticks that try to do too much. A stick with that sort of compatibility list makes me worried that there may be compatibility issues or, worse, input lag especially if it uses some sort of driver system. There are plenty of examples in tournaments where adapters have caused controllers to glitch out or straight up just not work with whichever console is being used. Combine that with the fact that I don't believe anyone actually in the FGC is talking about it at all (plus the price) and I know I wouldn't spend money on that stick. Now, all that said, that's just my sight read of it. I could be totally wrong.

The Quanba is a proven competitor and falls probably behind only Mad Catz in FGC use. Razer's sticks also seem to be gaining some real momentum with them being used by all of Team EG (and those players wouldn't use crap sticks).

Actually, there are some tournament goers that seem to like the S7 (according to this video at least: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wQFzZY5cIo )

Eh, I hadn't seen that before but it really felt a lot like a commercial to me. It also spent a lot of time hyping up the visible customization elements of the stick but didn't spent a lot of time on how it actually played. When they did talk about the play, they basically just kept mentioning things like silent buttons which you can already get on any other stick out there. It also didn't do much to answer my fears of compatibility issues.

All told, it doesn't necessarily seem like a bad stick but it feels a lot like an alienware product to me. The functionality may be in the same basic level as it's contemporaries but you're paying a lot more for the name and the look.
