((I know this game is old, but I wanted to do a Review.))

Elite Beat Agents takes you through several difficulties of gameplay that is similar to any other beat game such as Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It more or so closely relates to the free online game Osu, and by relates to, I mean they could be the same game.
EBA (what I will be using because Elite Beat Agents will be really annoying to type out again and again.) takes you through the several songs as you tap your way through using your stylus trying to touch the middle of the circle at the right moment to score 300, 100 or 50 points, which will be added to a multiplier until you miss a note.
Each song goes along with a little story of which you have to use your magic music powers to make things happen or motivate them in some way, by keeping your bar on the top of the touch screen in the yes by scoring good runs or just getting lots of 300's you enable the story to go along smoothly, or you can mess up on purpose to see the funny events that will unfold because of that.
You start with "Walkie Talkie Man", but sooner or later, your a "Material Girl" not stopping "Without a Fight". You can also unlock several songs by getting high enough scores in all of the songs.
Overall the gameplay is pretty good, and some of the story events can be pretty funny, or at a few songs even make you shed a tear or two. It is definately not the best game for the DS, but it is definably good.
If you like to listen to music and tap your finger to the beat of decent or great songs, then I can guarantee that you'll love this game. Who knows maybe you'll enjoy it so much, you break out into a "Jumpin' Jack Flash."

Not a great first review. It isn't an in-depth review, it's really short, your spelling could use work, and you don't have any sort of paragraphs.

This probably isn't the best game to review either, what with it being a DS rhythm game that came out a few years ago, but that is no reason for you to have put forth such a lacking shell of a review.

I suggest you read up on some of the more popular reviews in this section to better acquaint yourself with the standards held here.

I know I'm definitely not a great reviewer, and I know I'm a bad speller, but I felt like saying a thing or two about the game.

I'll do better with my next review, but this is my first review as you have said, so I would appreciate a little bit of a positive feedback, or at very best, instead of just saying how bad it is you could give me some more hints on how exactly I could make my next one better.

But I digress, I appreciate the feedback and I will do as much as possible to make my next review better.

((Could you send me one of your reviews so I could see what to do?))

As a general rule, any review will be poorly received if it appears to have been composed in the forum's text entry field. Use a dedicated word processor (Microsoft Word works perfectly well. You're only looking for a program to catch your mistakes as you make them) and spend more than ten minutes writing it. If it looks you put a fair bit of effort into your review, people will be more receptive of it.

Break your review off into paragraphs that expand on your ideas regarding gameplay, presentation, sound track, etc. Try not to drop random thoughts where they don't belong (i.e, interrupting your paragraph on mechanics to make a comment on a music clip).

Most folk around here don't think highly of a review broken off into titled sections and ratings, but such a templates functions perfectly well for the first few reviews you're writing. Since you're just starting out, I'd recommend that you focus on getting your points across clearly above all else.

Once you've become comfortable with you're writing style, work on formatting and presentation. Lots of users have their own unique ways of jazzing up their reviews (see: WanderFreak), whether it's with custom banners or consistent formatting and alignments.

There's a review writing guide at the top of this forum which contains plenty of useful tips and tricks. When in doubt, consult it.

Good luck with your future reviews.

My thoughts exactly. Learn paragraphs and grammar and it'll look quiet a bit better. All things consididered, not as bad as a few first-time-reviews. Keep working at it.
