I'm honestly a bit of a gaming elitist. However, if people want to like all the casual and mainstream games, fine. My biggest issue, almost ironically, lies with the Final Fantasy fanbase. They're bigger elitists than me. I mean, they think because they like Final Fantasy means they can act like... Well... This.
Here's what I don't get; playing a turn based JRPG that requires no skill, effort, or thought, makes you a real gamer? It gives you the right to act like an absolute bigot? If someone wants to like Final Fantasy, fine. It's when they say I should die because I don't like a video game, a form of entertainment, that is not real or true, that I raise my hands in the air shouting, "What the fuck?!"
So, have you ever had an encounter with such bigots? If so, what was your reaction? Did you call the person a shit head, or call them out on their bullshit in a more... Polite way? Or do you just do the right thing, and ignore the troll?

EDIT: Perhaps I should clear it up to everyone that I played FF7, and I was breezing through the game with no grinding or thought processing, and thus my pompous comment about the game requiring no effort or thought. Not that it excuses my rather rude way of stating my opinion.
Now, the subject before this guy's comment was me saying the NES and SNES Final Fantasy games were the best. Yellow comments are mine.
