In any case, if Ellen page consented to being depicted naked, whether it is her body or not, then it's kinda a non issue. Sure, I don't condone useless nudity scenes (I haven't played the game, so I've no idea what the context is) but if the actress gave permission, this is more of something to debate in relation to the game itself and its quality rather than any reason for moral outrage.
But the fact that sony called it "damaging" makes me suspect that such permission wasn't given. And that's bad. Very bad.
What did she expect? Rule 34 is a thing for a reason, and anyone who has been on the internet long enough should know that. Yeah it's pretty fucked up, but it's the run of the mill kind of fucked up that the internet runs on. Just be glad it isn't anything more than the tame deal that they have here. I gotta say though, it's interesting to hear that more devs are doing anatomically correct models in big AAA games, even if those assets aren't going to be used for anything more than eye candy and physics simulation. You can't stick with Barbies and GI Joes forever if you want to shoot for perfect realism, though I bet they're going to be hiring a lot more perverts if that is the case.

Character modeling is getting to be a pretty intensive field these days, and some people I've run into do it just for the sake of doing it, even if they're not doing that shit for a thing focused on the jiggly bits. Some say it helps with "cloth physics simulation" or some BS.

Someone in the Dev team actually took his time to animate a full nude body with all naughty bits included and put it into the game.
What happened here is more akin to making a movie with a rather tame scene where the actor is shown nude behind not see through glass.
And in the directors cut suddenly the glass is see through and you can see every little juicy detal.. without anyone asking the actor if he was okay with that.
I remember hearing they they did this with Madison in Heavy Rain they may have done it with Ethan as well. Of course when you're doing it with a character modeled on a real actress it becomes fucking creepy. I wonder if David Cage keeps the nude renders in his home.
Why do people care about a few virtual nudes? Internet is probably full of fake photoshoped images of Ellen Page having kinky sex with god knows who and what.

The difference here is that it wasn't just the fans creating a nude model, or artwork. That is expected and most likely already existed (I am not venturing to find out). The difference here is that these models were in the GAME. Someone at Like take, the Sims for example. You take away the pixelation around the Sim's naughty bits, and you will find they don't have naughty bits.an annoyed writer said:

In fairness, it would be mighty creepy to find out that a bunch of people who you did some mo cap acting for rendered your nude body to an insane detail. I mean breasts are one thing. Full body nudity without consent is pretty unprofessional at the very least.

Fair point, though honestly I'm still not surprised. Quantic Dream already had a history of making fully rendered anatomically correct models. I wouldn't be surprised if the stock models that they start from all had those bits, since it is a French Studio and nudity in media is less stigmatized over there.

Welp, this is going to turn into another Oblivion situation... Only thing is, that series has done full frontal nudity before, and didn't make an effort to cover it up in the previous games before Oblivion, and secondly it's kind of a given that nudity fits that series if you look into its history and lore.

It's not going to be the Hot Coffee Mod, it's going to be worse, considering Cage had paid somebody to design this.
Sadly, it will become a game that people will buy, expecting boobs and whatever else, which will probably boost the games sales, sales I feel it really doesn't need, but that's just me.
