Hello all, after a few months absence from the escapist spent playing Dark souls PC non stop I'm back!

With my return I'll begin the carnage by asking you all what stupid/embarrassing gamer tags you've created over your gaming career.

I'll start off.

Here we go....

My Games for Windows Live tag is....
I KILL CASULS

Your turn (pretty please)

When I got my Xbox360 many years ago (7 maybe?), I just wanted to play it and not worry about whatever Xbox Live was. I let the system choose a combo for me and ended up with "AquiredCarp" as my gamer tag. It's not so much bad as it is horribly awkward to try and tell people what it is. "Aquired what?" Is the usually response.

Well... I can honestly say that I never called any of my gamer tags "embarrassing" in the slightest...

HOWEVER, there is the one I have for my PSN that I kinda wished I could change, but never really wanted to because it reminds me of how I got it in the first place...

CFJ92

You see, before I even had PSN, I had a Media Go account for my PSP... I rarely used it to buy anything with it and I only used Media Go as a means to import/export media files... What I DIDN'T know, when I was setting up my PSN account, was that both accounts used the same username and password... and only the password could be changed, at the time...

*facepalm* At least I know what it means...

When I originally created my Xbox Live account, my gamertag was The 1337 King.

...I was like, 15 at the time and I thought it was cool. It has long since been changed.

My PSN username is pretty damn lame and stupid, and I seriously wish I can change it.

Because it's...

angry_german. I know, right?

I remember back with the original PSP you could have a different username than the PS3 one, and I did. I had a chance to change it to keep it to the PSP one since it's closer to what my username is here, and I done goofed.

It's based off of a stupid inside joke with a few friends of mine, and that was the only think I can think of at the time. Real original. >.>

I've no idea why someone would let their name be chosen for them. Just doesn't make sense to me

Welp, I had my share of them - Demon, DarkMan, Dark`, DELIRiO[footnote]yeah, for some reason most started with the letter 'd' - not intentional, though[/footnote]. The latest of these was DooM which transformed into Lord_DooM. And at that point I realized it was a bit stupid - one time while I was typing that I misspelled "doom" as "dopo" - I dropped the "lord" part and thus my current nick was born. Short and doesn't really mean anything[footnote]I later became aware it's some word in Italian but doesn't seem it's too important[/footnote].

Each of the letters represent a different name I usually go by either online or just in general...

C = COMPUTEROSIS
Based on my YouTube username and the name of a story I wrote in middle school...

F = FPLOON
You say it like "fuh-ploon" and it's not only the username I go by here, on Skype, and on something called "IntenseDebate"... It's also a name of a radio play I tried to do in middle school...

J = Joseph
My first name as well a the name of my father... (He died before I turned 2...)

The numbers, however, represent the year I was born... (which was in 1992...)

Yeah... It was both clever, to me at the time... But, it was also not the best name I could come up with during that same year... I still don't know if it was better or worse than "BleachBrigade"... (which that name is basically one-half the title of an so-so manga series and the other half the second-half of the club name from the Haruhi Suzumiya manga...)

Can't think of an embarrassing one, but I can think of a terrible one, any username that starts or ends with Xx or such name, it is so annoying when you play with somebody whose name is Xx_QwIk_ScOpAh_xX.

When we first got our PS3 online, my brother made a PSN account on my user profile.

He called it "ABORTIO0N"

Needless to say I never wanted to use it. But I wound up naming mine "Scrabbit666" which is very nearly as stupid ¬¬

We both know why you choose that Gamertag mate and it's a bit late to call it embarrassing don't you think?

*gets invaded*

"What is this casul doing? Come here you, hee hee! Get rekt! Do you even know how to build scrub?!"

Anyway I only have one name which ain't too bad, my one here which is a reference to this one metal song. My League one (Young Detective) is a reference to Persona 4, no it is NOT a Naoto reference.

The only previous one I've had was blackkittycat15. I made it back when I was 14 and decided to stop changing usernames every week and that's the one I picked. I'm glad I didn't pick one of the really stupid ones since I had usernames for all my pets, that one was for my black cat Momar.

I really wish I could change my PSN gamer tag: JessieBee185. I was 13 when I first created the name for use on forums etc, and I ended up using it on everything for a few years afterwards, including on my PS3 when I got it. Now I think it just sounds pretty juvenile. Also, the 185 doesn't even mean anything! I picked a random sequence of numbers I thought sounded good together, I mean what even? It's dumb.

On the Xbox 360 my gamer tag is the same as my username here though so I'm happy with that. Don't understand why the PS3/4 doesn't have a username change feature like the 360 does.

I just use Idlemessiah for everything. Kinda boring really.

However the best tag I ever came across was in a game of free-for-all in CoD4 on XBL where I was killed by; "a_piece_of_toast".

I will never, ever forget that day.

Well, I always use Melon Hunter or a variation thereof. I guess you could read some lewdness into it, but honestly, it comes from me getting Xbox Live in 2008 and remembering a split-screen game of CoD4 from a few weeks earlier, where one of my friends got bored of losing and decided to stab all the melons on the map instead. And so my nom de Internete was born.

The only exception is my PSN name, which is 'Canterloupian'. Every variation of my usual name was gone, and I was pretty sleep-deprived when I thought it up. It's a melon pun and a pun of, well, I'm sure you can guess from my avatar. The only problem is, I now realise it looks like I don't know how to spell 'cantaloupe'. Thanks for the lack of a name change feature, Sony...

I use Creator002 for everything I can.
However, my other identity (when the above is taken), while not embarrasing in itself, has an embarrasing origin. The name is Kedavran. It used to be Lord Kedavran and I got the name by rearranging the letters in my name. Why? Saw it in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.[footnote]Tom Marvolo Riddle - I am Lord Volemort.[/footnote]

I've had some stupid shit on Steam before, simply because you can change it in the blink of an eye for free. Although it's been so long I can't remember any of them. But there were shenanigans afoot. I think the name I left with was Al Capwn.

I don't know if it's embarrassing or more amusing really but when I was 11 I used to go around with the name Wavy Gravy; didn't Mr Burns use that in the Simpsons or something? I thought it was funny anyway.

That or call myself 'Your Teammate' so that when when I killed people it'd read "You were killed by Your Teammate" and "You killed Your Teammate" when people killed me. Had loads of people getting angry over being supposedly killed by their teammates and a fair few worrying over the teammates they'd apparently tk'ed
