Love em, hate em, ipods are everywhere! Sure, everyone likes to download the cool, manly, rocking out head banging hardcore songs BUT who can't resist a little Barbie Girl (Aqua) every now and then? How doesn't have a soft spot for Kelly Clarkson? And who among us mortals can stop those little shivers up out spine when Cascada wails out 'Every time we touch'???

So, my question to you: What is the one song/artist on your ipod/music list you would never admit to having?

I'll go first: Vanessa Carlton, and her first album 'Be Not Nobody': embarrassingly adolescent and shallow, yet oddly compelling.....

I admit to everything I have on my iPod. Namely because I don't use those.

But really; who cares what you listen to? If people critique you for your music tastes, you are sorely in need of new companions.

I suppose I'm almost embarrassed to have Sean Paul's Temperature on my MP3 player, if only because it's the complete opposite of everything else on my player.

I never thought I'd say this, but "Hold on for one more day" by Wilson Phillips. Watched Harold and Kummar one too many times and decided to put it on there.

My iPod has a band called "...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead." They're a fun band, but that is one hell of an embarrassing name.

Dude, my most embarrasing songs are the best sometimes.

For instance, Rick Astley's "Never Gonna give you up", The Caramelldansen, Dragostea Tin Tei, uuhhhm......well, let;s just say I hold soft spots for many genres.

And aimed at the OP, I freakin' love "Every time we touch"

I don't get embarrassed by the music I listen to, that's just silly.
I suppose I could make a long list of music I have that other people might tease me for though.

I have some old stuff from Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, along with some songs from all of the boy bands around during that same time period. (You know, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, etc). I have Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, and tons of stuff from Broadway musicals.
I even have High School Musical.

That's only a small portion of the 6,000+ songs on my ipod, though.

why are people embarrassed by YMCA? I think it is at least an upbeat and enjoyable song, but anytime it comes on, everyone starts doing the motions and then turns to the person on their left and says "if you ever tell anyone about this you're dead"

Blasphemy! That album is awesome.

I suppose I could almost be embarrased over how much Happy Hardcore I have on my ipod. Ive got just about everyone of DJ Ravines mixes. Youtube him, he's awesome.

I don't have an iPod. I'd rather have a jagged shard of glass in my urethra.

On topic, though, I must admit to enjoying a little Pink - U n Ur Hand every now and then. and Ace of Bass - Break My Stride.

Fucking 5AD upbringing.

It depresses me that people actually listen to them. I thought they were just a joke band.

Why would you be embarrassed of that? I like that song, too; in fact, it's responsible for a whole sub-plot in the story I'm writing.

that album is terrible. Matt Heafy got all big headed and tried to get political with his music, and it suffered. their first album is pretty good, but the crusade just left a terrible taste in my mouth. They should write an apology to their fans for that album

I listen to the music on my zune pretty loud, and on the bus Gay Bar by electric 6 came on, and I think the person sitting next to me was laughing at it. I am not embarrassed about it, it was just an inappropriate song for the public transit system.

This is why I remember to turn down my iPod in public whenever
Enormous Penis by DaVinci's Notebook, Jizz In My Pants by The Lonely Island, or - and I kid you not about the title - I Wanna Fuck You In The Ass by The Outhere Brothers
starts to play. I have more songs I'm legitimately embarrassed to have people hear... but I won't say what.

Rick Astley's "Never Gonna give you up"
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Yea, but I liked the song before it was cool, haha.

Journey is a band you consider embarrassing? If so, may I suggest listening to "Wheel In The Sky"? That might change your view a bit.

The first album I ever owned was the self titled Savage Garden record. It was actually pretty good.
