Today my school held crash assemblies. Now, the purpose of these assemblies is to warn the upperclassmen in our school of the dangers of drinking and driving. These assemblies often leave the students emotionally drained and the assemblies continue on into tomorrow. Now, even though I was behind the scenes the whole time, I still am feeling the emotional baggage...anyone wanna help cheer me up?

My school just had one of those, although it seemed to have the opposite effect it was supposed to. As for cheering up I usually just watch my favorite comedian.

My School doesn't do assembles. Instead, we (as in the news production team) end up working with local police and fire as well as the medical student and produce a video about the dangers of drinking and driving. We have to stage a crash with wrecked cars and show the police giving field test and then we show a funeral about the students who died...

...But no one at the school watches the news, most of the time (this year everyone actually paid attention) so the message isn't quite as well received.

EDIT:Spelling

Sorry dude, I remember having mine right before prom. They called in the whole 9 yards, firemen, helicopter, ambulances, etc. Blood makeup, called the parents of the 'deceased', and so on. It was....creepy ._.

Here. This should help :D

Go drink and drive some bumber cars! Seriously, they engrain the don't drink/drive stuff in your pretty hard in school so the dumber people in the class won't make bad desicions. Though I must ask, are they focusing on punishment envolved with drink/driving or on the effects that'll happen if you kill someone?

Additionally, always use a DD, ever since I was a senior in high school we've used DD's and the world has been a much safer place.

We do both, the morning assembly is a crash scene and the afternoon assembly is a court scene where parents and friends make impact statements. Tomorrow is something known as "Dead Day" where we pull a kid out of class every 15 minutes to show how often someone dies from a drinking and driving related accident...lot of emotional stuff going on.

It's twice as scary because of Tim Curry.
