Emotionaly Crushing

i was just reading a thread about basically the worst relationship things that have happened to people, and it got me thinking, has anyone ever experienced anything so emotionally crushing it didn't really measure up to anything else.

Mine would be when my grandfather died, He pretty much raised me from when i was a kid, he taught me how to use a knife, taught me history, took me hiking, i spent many years with him and when he died of cancer i was pretty much inconsolable for pretty much months. So Escapists, whats your story?

Whenever a family member or pet has died or after a really bad breakup, a mixture of all three once put me into a clinical depression, I had thoughts of suicide but never acted upon them, still it was horrible.

After I got kicked out of college and suffered some pretty severe heartbreak and betrayal I went back home slipped into major depression and got addicted to dilaudid and cocaine...sober three years now, going to acting school in new york and life has never been better
