I've recently attempted to try and record my emulator gameplay, but a slew of issues have come up. Sometimes the emulator will vastly slow down the video while causing the audio to bug out. Or better yet the emulator itself will start to glitch out visually or just plain crash. My question is what screen recorder and emulator work best together? Currently I've tried using 1964 and Project64 with Fraps and only one game even worked up to a point before it too crashed. Any suggestions?

if you're serious, use an S-Video setup or similar setup to connect your computer to your television, and use a DVD recorder to record your footage, then bring it back to your computer for editing - that's how you get the best quality and the most reliability.

does require that you have a DVD recorder though.. which isn't exactly expensive, but it's new hardware that isn't free.
