You'll be happy to know that ED is alive and well, and living in Switzerland. It's being reconstructed as I type at http://encyclopediadramatica.ch and doesn't look quite the same yet, but a lot of the original content is there in some form, with more on the way.Satosuke said:Encyclopaedia Dramatica, once great bastion of lulz and internet cautionary tales, is dead; its replacement being ohinternet.com, a sanitized mundane clone of Know Your Meme.

I'm cautiously optimistic, considering it seems put together by a dedicated group of users, but I heard that OhInternet threatened to sue anyone trying to use the Dramatica likeness and logo.BonsaiK said:You'll be happy to know that ED is alive and well, and living in Switzerland. I thought ED was funny and culturally important, and it was a big mistake for the original sysops to delete the existing content, if they needed to move to something different fair enough but it wouldn't have killed them to retain the original texts in archived form or at least give their users some warning as to what was happening. Of course it's clear that outside pressures have forced the move but regardless, it was handled very badly, and no doubt they'll pay for their PR blunder.
Oh Internet is very unfunny and doesn't capture ED's spirit at all. Perhaps that's the point, but either way I'll never visit it again now that the new ED is up.
