I have been looking into buying end war when it comes out for the pc shortly. I know the main gimmick of end war is its voice controls and that seems to be what most reviews focus on.
The question I have for anyone who has played the console version is if they think that End War is worth a purchase on its merits as an RTS with no voice control.
I cannot use voice control but think the game looks quite interesting, I just dont want to go out and waste $100 AU if the game is not enjoyable without voice.
Any opinions are greatly appreciated, thanks.

I played it on the console, normally without the voice control on, and it seemed to work just fine. Add to that the PC has a mouse and keyboard, and I reckon it'll work just as well.

However, I'm waiting until the PC reviews come in first. Also, I'd shop around for it on PC as Steam is expensive it seems.

Awesome thanks, and yeh I will wait for the full reviews for pc. Also steams pretty well priced compared to games over in Aus, but we also have download limits to worry about, so I am pretty much limited to hard copies.
Thanks for the reply.

Wait, what is this game?
Voice controls?
Bark like a dog.

I'm sorry, but is it possible to have decent voice controls?

EndWar's voice commands actually worked very well.

Though you had to say them kind of loudly, so it's not for those who would be embarrassed if a friend or family member walked past your room and heard "Tango! Attack Unit 4!" or something.

I've never tried any alternative to strategy gaming than the mouse/keyboard setup.
Prepare for strange looks given to you by family and friends as you shout at your computer.

The voice activation does seem quite good actually. Hope I am allowed to link to this, if not please let me know.

Two parrots playing each other in End War.
The voice commands do look quite fun, just since I am unable to use them it was just a matter of if the controls work well and it is still fun without them.

The only other games I have experience with for voice control was hey you Pikachu and that game where your stuck in a operator room and have to navigate a waitress through a horror game (cant remember then name right not).

So from those experience I will never buy voice control.
