I just watched The Mist again and I was reminded how good that ending was. I mean the acts were horrible, but it was very well done and it's not something you forget. What endings have really stuck with you?

Theres one particular film that comes into mind... a very good comedy... but its 5 in the morning and I can't remember the name =\

DONNIE DARKO'S ENDING!!! Was so amazing. But at the end of Transformers 1 When Starscream escapes that was the best ending I've seen.
The Sixth Sense wins on this one. I'm not sure I'll ever not be in shock about that...
Beyond that, Final Fantasy VII deserves a mention as well. I loved the story all the way through, but I never realized until the ending video that it was really all about Aerith. She was the key to everything, and I never really realized it until the end. Holy crap, amazing game. And no, that's not a spoiler: you still have no idea how unless you've played the game.

The film is pretty weird from the get go, but right at the end when they see the weird sentient creature... Then she gets dragged away into the dark. You get no closure never find out what the fuck everything is. Still bugs me =/

The ending to 'Fallen' really stuck with me. I first saw it nearly ten years ago and I still think it's one of the best endings ever.
For a more recent movie, 'The Hurt Locker' was, in my opinion, incredibly sad and will probably stick with me for some time.
