About a year and a half ago, I finally overcame an addiction that nearly dominated close to five years of my life. There I was, thinking I had just quit cold turkey, but the funny thing is I had just used the 12 steps, but completely out of order and with minor variations. Except the first step. Never did get COMPLETELY out of control, but I could see it coming.
