You're welcome.

I hate Metroids. Especially in the Metroid Prime trilogy, when you can find them before getting any sort of ice weapon.
Then there's the rare occasion when you're somehow unaware of their presence - you're wandering around, scanning everything in sight (or at least that's what I do) and suddenly OHGODSBRAINSUCKERONFACEGETITOFFGETITOFFMORPHBALLMORPHBALLAAARRRGGGHHHH.

This! I must agree with this. Damn Zubats triple the time it takes you to get through a cave in those games. Every 4 god damned steps and, sure as hell, you've encountered one of these flying cretins.

Deathclaws. Doesn't matter what level you are, if you run into a horde of them in Fallout 3, you'll be utterly fucked.

Mabari, Ogres, and Hurlock Emissaries. Giving enemies the ability to pin me to the ground and tear me apart, pick me up and beat me to death, and cut me off from all healing effects does not add challenge; it's just irritating.

I forgot about them.

one time I tried to go through rock tunnel in pokemon yellow without flash. It took me 4 days. I could hear the stupid noises zubats made in my head all the time.

The FUCKING crawly-thingies, from Tower of Latria in Demon's Souls, that break your equipment...

They are really annoying... They're well designed though...

Yeah fucking Mabaris!!! Overpower you to the ground, and all the freaking soldiers around you start kicking you to death while the Mabari eat your inner organs. Especially painful if that happens to your only healer. The only useless Mabari is your own god damn Dog.

Tribals in the Fallout 3 DLC, point lookout.
They waste ammo, break your gear, and don't drop anything particularly useful or cool.

I despise no enemy more than the mind flayer from Baldur's Gate 2.
I don't even wanna think about it, seriously. The worst part isn't the mind-controling your characters part, the worst part is the: "Oh, you killed everyone but me? I guess I'll use my one shot, one kill attack that shatters you beyond resurection."

GAAAAAHG

That massive volcano turtle thing in Ninja Gaiden 2. OK it might not be all that challenging compared to other enemies/bosses in the game, except that when you defeat it, it explodes which kills you. I got past the first one after a few tries, now near the end of the game there are two of the bloody things. *pulls angry face*

Still have to go with the Jackal Snipers and Drones from Halo 3/ODST as they seemed designed to be as unbearably annoying to fight as possible.

Also, Merry Christmas to all.

Mindflayers seconded.

Murlocs in WoW, esp. when playing a caster.
The Ninjas in NOLF2. Appear, throw stars, disappear. ><

Oh, and those damned wraith enemies in Oblivion, before I forget.

On more than one occasion, they kept hurling these bolts of magic at me that made it so I could carry less. That doesn't sound like much, but after the third time or so I was pretty much paralyzed, as they hacked my character to pieces.

Hunters in L4D 1 and 2. They jump on you from the middle of nowhere, and the bots are useless and other players tend to look out for number one.
Also the snipers in Starwars Force Unleashed. I must have spent half hour trying to stay alive long enough to even find the snipers at the begining of the last level before i gave up and just broke through the door without fighting anything.

As mentioned Mind Flayers in Baldur's Gate 2.

They will take your previously invulnerable feeling group and rip out their brains through their nostril, literally. And that's *if* you're prepared to be fighting them. If you aren't, then they'll get your own group to turn on one another *while* tearing their brains out... through their nostrils.
