The AI that never miss bullets and tend to never give you a chance to recover, especially when you need it.

Black Ops for sure on harder difficulties the enemies gun directly for you with pin point accuracy and your friendly AIs DON'T DO ANYTHING. They will let enemies run right past them, then when you turn around and see they let one spetsnaz soldier though you get blasted in the face before you can really do anything about it.

Does having people spawning behind you count? Nothing is more annoying than having just cleared an area, then moving up and get shot in the back by an enemy that just spawned. Just bad mechanics by the game I guess but still really annoying.

Coach's healing intentions in L4D2...thanks for doing it RIGHT OVER THE SPITTER GOO

on the other side of the spectrum, in AC2 (I think 'Bonfire of the Vanities') You have to assassinate these 8 (or 12) people to get the Apple back. At one point, the cutscene starts, and my target starts racing for the rooftop. I think, 'fair enough, I'll follow him from the ground and try to cut him off.' suddenly, 10 seconds into the chase, the background starts fading to white. I'm like 'wtf? I desynchronized?' but then, I see Ezio talking to his target, and I'm like 'HE fell off the building! XD' ...good times
or in ACB, chasing 'the engineer'. I'm on a wall, the path is on my left, the cliff face (and water) is on my right. he is cornered, so he rushes at me, I kick him, and he falls on the lower part of the wall, then slips into the water and dies (I think he inherited Altair's fear of swimming XD)

Left 4 dead 2 AI. No really. And don't even say "they aren't enemy AI". Bullshit. They are more dangerous then the zombies. Sometimes they just go and off themselves, or watch you die for fun. Horrible..

I don't know if I am the only one that notices this, but on certain fighting games when you bring up the difficulty the AI tends to know the exact button you push the very second you push it. It is like going against a player who is looking at your controller and the TV at the same time.
Yep, this is what I was going to post. Psychic fighting game AI sucks.. and sucks hard. The easiest example of this is probably either with Ken or Akuma. They walk towards you and there's really nothing you can do other than get lucky. If you don't attack, you get thrown as soon as they get a single pixel into throw range. If you do attack, they do (generally) a DP the millisecond you press the button.

I can understand that it must be difficult to really program fighting game AI that's even comparable to a human player, and because it's a totally visible one on one battle there really aren't any tricks you can use to subtly disguise poor AI, but the psychic AI was BS way back in MK1 and it's still BS now.

Any Nazi on Veteran in Call of Duty 3. Its bad enough that the these guys grenade spam you into oblivion, but its made even worse when your own friendly AI doesn't do a damn thing about it. They will single you out and won't even give a glance at your allies and your allies won't give a glance at them. It can get really annoying when you die 5 times in a row due to one Nazi running past 3 of your guys and then barraging you with bullets at close range.

Charging. Good god, I hate it when enemies charge, unless it makes sense for them to do so (for instance, the enemies in Halo)

CoD. Seriously, on higher difficulties, they become grenade spamming aimbots that always aim at YOU. Even if 10 of your allies are charging at them, the moment you expose your foot, they will snipe you with machine guns. Also, the suicide grunts in Halo are annoying, as they can blind side you while your fighting they're buddies.

Two different enemies from the God of War series:
1) The giant onyx-covered scorpion boss in the third game. It constantly spawns an army of little buggers that you have to avoid/kill on a constant basis in addition to watching what the boss is doing, and it has this god-awful tail slam whenever you approach it's weak-points that seems to hit an area about 4 times wider than it really is whenever I try to dodge it.
2) FUCKING SATYRS! God these things hit a lot harder than you should think, they take a shit-load of damage to kill for a "normal" creature, they are incredibly fast and have an ~80% chance to dodge/block/counter almost anything you throw at them (I fired off an insanely fast barrage of arrows, and only 2 actually hit my target), and they can grab you out of the air if you try to jump over their attacks. That, and they normally come in pairs...

I got a couple, the hoboes and beggers in the first ass creed. yeah it was their job to be annoying but i just ended up killing them or beating them to death whenever they pushed me or wouldn't take a hint... then i learned you could scare the baggers off by drawing a weapon, good times :)

Also in WoW, when an AI isn't in combat they have an astronomic health regen. This normally isn't an issue, but if i'm playing on my rogue i can't vanish to get a strong hit from stealth and the upper hand, also when it's combined with another glitch, when the enemy suddenly decides to exit combat WHILE I'M HITTING HIM IN THE FACE! he runs a short distance away and recovers ALL of his health.

Another complaint in the lines of WoW, is that if the enemy cannot find a path to reach you to attack you with a meele attack, he becomes invulnerable to all damage and instantly recovers all his health. I suppose this is in place to prevent exploits on bosses, but when you're just grinding trash or questing this can be really annoying as i see it as destroying any sense of tactical variety when i play a ranged character.

Oh, the AI of Mass Effect 2 on Insane Difficulty. It is not bad enough they have more health, armor and Shield than the other difficulties...but there pistols and machine guns get Sniper Rifle accuracy and range. You have all of .5 of a second to peak out of cover take 2 shots at max and than get back into cover. During that .5 of a second you are about 10% health and recovering your health and shield takes FOREVER. What do you get? Every automatic weapon you handle that is not a sniper rifle tends to miss 7 of 10 shots. This as a Soldier class who's specialty is supposed to be weapons.

So what ends up happening is that you as Shepard have to be the decoy for nearly every fight while your partners give out chip dmg. Yeah that made the game excited and fun....

When you have a character that most move to a certain spot to kick open door/get onto elevator/blast through a wall/make the door magically openable and said character gets stuck, it really makes my blood boil.

The god-like AI from Bad Company 2. One shot out of a silenced weapon at 200 meters and they know EXACTLY where you are. Hell, a silent knife kill and they know. It's like they have super-hearing and linked brains! I mean come on, Half-Life had better AI in 1998 than BBC2 does in 2010! What is the deal with that?!
Oblivion had a similar problem. One hit kill from 400 yards out with a bow and arrow? It's like you fired a Grand Bombard for all the good even 85% Chameleon and a 100 Sneak rating does you.
I think Fallout 3 also suffers from that. It wasn't nearly as bad, but a long range sniper round to the head while hidden means nothing if there is more than one hostile.

What really made BBC2 bad for me was the fact that they never fucking stop coming!

If Fallout 3 suffers from that I haven't experienced it. With >70 Sneak or so I can snipe the whole group of Raiders with those Mole Rat cages on the main road in the southern part of the map (there's what, five of 'em there?) without even going from [HIDDEN] to [CAUTION].

Ok in pokemon with the 'smarter' trainers, like the gym leaders and the elite four? I Hate it when I'm down to one pokemon with a sliver of health and no more items and I'm somehow managing to beat them up, and I'm a turn away from winning when they pull out a recovery item.
I hate it when they get smart.

Oh yeah. And the psychic guards in oblivion. And my characters inability to murder a person in their sleep in one hit.

Seriously, those guards.
Also, I ONLY STOLE A KEY!!! And then they kill me.

Jesus tits don't get me started on the god awful AI in that game. Oh what's that? Silenced pistol perforating the back of your skull? Nope, every enemy in a thousand god damn miles heard it and now knows your exact location, also, precision accuracy throughout those one thousand miles, naturally.

It got to the point where I just started running in and hosing enemies down with LMG fire whenever I could, or failing that, rockets. It was a damn sight more effect than trying to fucking sneak.

lmao i remember that game, i'd get a kill count over 200 on a 300 ticket map and still louse! I mean wtf was my AI team actually DOING? it didn't annoy me so much as it made me feel badass at the time, but really, is it too much to ask that my team stops playing with them selves long enough to actually shoot something?
