Engis new gun!!

In the new tf2 for mac video you can see at a few point the engi holding a different shotgun to his normal one. so What do you think it will be like e.g. it's advantages and disadvantages??

I've heard the bit on the side called a scope, but it looks way more like some sort of shell hopper. The longer barrel and hopper probably mean an increased ammo capacity and range, maybe at the cost of power. Another option is that this guns shoots slugs instead of shot making it closer to a rifle than the traditional video-game shotgun. I'd like to see something a little more in an update but the engie's non build weapon's have always been simple.
