I barely read at all , i just cant get into books to be honest. Thanks for the helpful tips aswell, i think im gonna try a thriller/murder book like ian rankin or something.
I'd stay away from the more formulaic thriller/murder novels that are out there. Personally, I think The Road by Cormac McCarthy or Lost Boys by Orson S. Card would be good.

Silver scribbler is right about reading being hard unless you find an author or genre you like. I recommend Terry Pratchet or Card. Happy hunting.

"Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer was pretty good and it was written in a unique way. It incorporated photos, pages that had text overlapping text, pages that are written in phone texting form and pages which only had one word every few lines in order to let you get a feel for whats going through the main characters mind(the main character is a young boy, 8 or so, who lost his Dad in the 9/11 attacks - he is very unique, precocious and generally charming). It's a very good read if you analyze it.

Lolita is also a good choice as Amnestic pointed out

I would also suggest "Slaughterhouse Five" by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. It has a lot to analyze and Vonnegut is a very interesting writer. There is also a lot to analyze in this book.

A question, 5th year of high school? Do they have five years in the UK as opposed to the 4 in the US.
