engrossing games

i was just wondering if theres anyone out there who could recommend me some good and interesting games to play. im not the sort of person who does nothing all day but play video games, (breathing and sex are sort of on my list of things to do as well) but they do form a huge part of how i waste my spare time. but i just realised that i havent really been engrossed in a game since first played fallout 3 and lost about 3 days without realising.

so, just wondering if any of you can recommend to me some good games (for PC) that i wont get bored of

cheers, i've finished both morrowind and Oblivion,
im gonna have things thrown at me but i had trouble getting into KoToR
but, dragon age, i have heard awesome things, as well as Mass effect

and ive played Deus Ex and both original fallouts...im into a more fallout3 and oblivion gameplay style though

So if you don't mind something older (Late 1990's-early 2000's) go invest in the Mechwarrior seiries. Long story short you pilot a giant metal death suit you deck out in your choice of a variety of lasers, machine guns, and sci-fi BFGs and go out to lay waste to anything foolish enough to stand in your way. Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries, Mechwarrior 3, and Mechwarrior 4+Black Knight Expansion were my favorite titles in the seiries. It was an incredible seiries that only got better as the games went on.
