ENN canceled

Aw. Couldn't they just get rid of daily drop instead?

Wouldn't have made the least bit of difference. The Daily Drop videos were all shot at the Victoria Events Center's basement all in a very short span of time. They compiled a huge list of things to drop, rented a bunch of cameras and bought a ton of floodlights, then they spent a few days dropping things non-stop. They have enough drops filmed right now to last quite a while, so there is very little week to week hassle in making that show a reality. ENN on the other hand is probably their most difficult show to pull off considering that they have to find news-worthy gaming industry stories that are also funny every other week. Not to mention the set is a total space hog in their office.

I don't know if they themselves cancelled it or if the Escapist cancelled it (I do believe that they cancelled it, it was going in a newsroom direction that didn't have the feel of ENN, thus they didn't feel that ENN should continue and they should make a series that reflected the feel of the newsroom).

But less LRR makes me sad. Oh well, I can wait, we get enough of them anyway.

I think I'm gonna' be sick. Every other shitty gaming "news" team sucks on the internet.

The stupid newsroom was fun, but going off and on or even having two pieces a week would be killer and would break this site out of, "pretty cool" to, "OMG I wish this was public so I coudl buy shares of it cuz' it's going to be huge!"

I would have been interesting if they had one more ENN to see just which comments actually mattered and which were just bullshitting.

Why the hell are they still advertising it?

But we got rid of Game Dogs, so the world can't be THAT cruel a place.

Hey, just don't touch their other stuff. Granted, they still could go back to being on their own again, if that ever did happen. And they'll never drop Yahtzee, thats a no-brainer, and extra credits seems pretty secure, as does Unskippable, so my favorites are safe. ENN did make it seem like it forced the LRR crew to overstrech themselves, and their LRR title videos seem to be up in quality again .
