Maybe they don't know what to fill their episodes with anymore and wanted to stop while it was still seen as a good show...

Maybe they felt like they'd made their contribution and that it was time to let it go? At least they realized it before they went the road of many other series and started milking the dead cow.

I thought that Newsroom was fantastic, and that doesn't need much conversion into the 'standard' ENN format.
