There are three bloody threads going on asking "recommend me an anime." I don't really care if you're asking for something "deep" as if that differentiates your thread, but for the love of god, LOOK at the other threads before making your own. The answers are the same every single time, they aren't going to change because you asked it instead of someone else.

We don't need three bloody threads asking the same goddamn thing.

EDIT
And here's some more repeats.

Yeah, I know one is about specific disappointments and the other is about badly aged shows, but they're both complaining about things that upset them.

There's probably a couple dozen more a few pages back, but we don't need three people asking the same thing in their own threads.

Isn't there something we can do about this? Can't we just get a "Recommend Me X" thread stickied where people can just suggest anything? Instead of everyone making a new thread every time, just have them ask for some suggestions towards anything in that one thread, and have the responses come from there.

Yeah, I'm annoyed, /rant.

I see what you did there.

But could we not just get a recommendation thread stickied or something?

I have a picture for just such an occasion and when I find it, I'll post it here. Trust me, you'll love it. It is related to this topic just so you know.

Anyways, reposts don't bother me too much, mainly because of this picture below.

Now, you see that bit at the bottom about what you do when you see a repost? Yeah, do that, might work better then making a repost of a thread about reposts, thusly keeping the vicious cycle going.

Good evening, sir.

Oh Anime recommendation threads always turn up! There's been several every month since I started on The Escapist. Not a lot of other discussion you can go into Anime without getting specific shows, and some people just walk in and say "LULZ THIS SHOW SUCKZORZ! WATCH HARDCURE STUFFZ! LOL YOU WATCH DUB, ******!" which ruins it, so Anime recommendation threads are all okay by me.

Don't want to see them? Go somewhere else for a while. I recommend Reddit. You essentially choose what you see through the different Sub-reddits. They are a bit anarchistic on there, but if you want a break, hang there, chill for a bit, come back refreshed.

Calumon: But do come back! We really like you! :' (

Sadly, repeat threads do happen, but only because every other thread falls into the god damn ether after a while with no chance of recovery. It's like that period where every other day there would be some sort of pony thread,EVERYONE was getting annoyed. So many people, not enough know what the hell a search bar is.

I've often wondered if there should be a box you have to tick to post a new thread that says "Under pain of death I promise that I have made some effort with the search bar to see if this thread has already been made and have not found a suitable one".
