So I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not but before Walt Disney died he had a massive vision called EPCOT. While yes it stands today, it's nothing like his original plan. An example of the plan can be seen here.

Now the fact that no-one to my understanding has tried to pick this project up again makes me a sad bunny. Seriously just modifying the plans slightly would make this idea brilliant. Yes I realise it undergoes a bit of the "dome society" and is slightly demonic but seriously I would much rather this as apposed to the run-down town I live in.
I think it's more the fact that they were given such a unique idea and when Disney died they just decided "Oh well, we can't hope to live up to his dream" so just decided to turn it into an "educational" park...honestly that's what makes me so upset T_T
