So i'm killing time on facebook (like you do, don't deny it) and i decide to work on my empires and allies empire (it is no longer fun at this point it is work*). anyway some sort of glitch happened and the correct text didn't come up. I have no idea what they were trying to inform me about but instead of the text i got code with a file name for whatever it was suppose to be showing. the name;

Generic_

Yes zynga it is generic and thats fine, but do you really need to name your files that? At least i know how the developers really feel about these games they're making.

No. I'm going to deny it. I don't use facebook.
Oh, my God! I'm not alone? I seriously don't know anybody irl who doesn't use Facebook.

OT: Generic makes perfect sense as the classification of a piece of code. Most games actually use the term generic at some point. It's a way to classify the non-special versions of items/units/whatever in a way that makes it easier for the programmer to remember.

That aside, what's the discussion value supposed to be?

Me neither. Forum Hi-five?
OT: The script probably failed when it was just starting, showing you the file name the "_" probably means something was attached to it, but fell off

Facebook is for people with friends and without Steam.

Therefore i have nothing to really contribute to the thread.

Well, this thread looks interesting but it won't really get anywhere.

OT: I have no idea what you're talking about, nor do I give a shit.

Enjoy your anti-facebook thread.

Edit: Also work on your typing. Seriously, man.

I have facebook but I don't play facebook games. And who the hell cares what they name their files? They probably have a reason for it.

Well technically I use facebook, However I attach my facebook profile to trillian so the extent of my "use" of facebook is to glance over at trillian to see if I have a new email be it from email client or social networking clients.

As for Zynga.. meh, its not in the least surprising, the company ooooooozes with generic.
