"Okay, Daniel, let's think about this," the young gamer said to himself as he remained alone on the roof. "She kissed you, which probably means she has some sort of feeling for you. Though it was on the cheek, and that's usually a sign of not so much affection as more being friendly than anything else. That's probably it. She just thinks of me as a friend. Which I have no problem with, considering I figure we all need all the friends we can get."

"But then... what do I do about the way I'm thinking about Jaime?" he asked himself. "I mean, I can't avoid the subject forever, but normally things like this just fade over time if they're not acted on soon enough. Hope that's the case."

At that point Magus appeared in the doorway, walking up to Daniel with a quizzical look on his face. Seeing the Associate arrive, Daniel said, "I'm fine; it's nothing you need to worry yourself about. Though I don't think I need a bodyguard right now. I'll see you again another time." Magus simply shrugged, knowing his presence was by Daniel's will. The gamer pulled out his System and entered the summoning code, causing Magus to vanish into thin air.

With the Associate gone, Daniel headed down the stairs to join anyone who might be in the apartment. Seeing Jaime and Shann there, Daniel gave them both a wave as he passed them to flop on the couch.

Damien sighed as he walked across the park. It seemed like he was going to be doing this a lot now. "Then again, I'm actually worried about getting home. It seems like quite a few people wouldn't mind staying in this insane asylum." He muttered bitterly to himself. Damien shook his head. "No, that's a little cruel. We're all in this together, and that means I have to at least deal with them, kindly." Damien stopped for a minute and looked at his hand, a thought occuring to him. "Looks normal enough." He wondered though, what exactly was up with the binary code those kidnappers had become. He made his way back to the apartments, wondering how much of a burden he was versus his usefulness. Shrugging the self-pitying thought off, Damien made his way up the stairs for once. He nodded respectfully to everyone when he entered. "Evenin', everyone. We made it through another day." He said with a laugh.
