I always thought Mass Effect had a cool opening. Not really an opening but the first time you see Rapture in Bioshock and the Capital Wasteland in Fallout 3 was pretty epic.

Yeah, Mass Effect actually reminded me a whole lot about the Top Gun opening if anyone can see the parallel. (No Danger Zone though)

Agreed, the Mass Effect Intro still gives me shivers... And thank you, Mister Jack Wall for composing such a brilliant soundtrack, because that undoubtedly contributes to it being so gripping.

Call of Duty 1 and 2's openings were the definition of epic.

I like how they dont show some big dumb silent protagonist on a mission to save the world, it shows different cool stuff that happens in the game while sort of saying "War is bad but this game is daayyyyummm fun!"

Which they were.

CoD 2 was probably the pinnacle of the series.

Red Alert 2 has one of the most epic openings ever, but that one's already been mentioned.
