Eraserhead: Your Interpretation

I just watched Eraserhead today and it was a very confusing and interesting movie. I'm not completely sure of what it was about, so I'm asking you guys. What did you think it was about? Everyone has a different interpretation so I want to see what you guys thought about it.

I saw it a few months ago, my first impression was that Lynch was making a horror film about becomming a father, looking after a life that he didn't understand and experiencing the alienation of responsibility. Knowing Lynch though, we'll probably never learn the truth...
