Dak'Zul had been in his bed chamber almost the entire voyage, being interrupted frequently by all the petty matters of the ship, and he would answer to the best of his ability everytime, and it would come with a positive result. This time he was in the middle of a vision, a vision of the jungle.
It was a pack of tigers surrounding there prey, far outnumbering them, the prey looked to be about 19 strong in number, and they were all various types of animals, very misplaced in the Jungle. There were chicken and cows and cows and other farm animals of the lot, but something striked him as odd. In the midst of these farm animals, there was a tiger, and it looked like it belonged to the pack. When the pack was about to close in on it's prey, the Alpha roared, sending back the lesser tigers. The alpha walked up to the tiger amongst the prey, and when he got halfway the vision grew hazy.
Dak'Zul roused with start as a troll rushed into his room, looking eager and joyful."Sah!" He said with a quick bow and hand gesture."Be mah pleashure to tell yah weh captured ta group a pirates mon. We be leavin da decision up ta you mon what be done to dem." He said with a hint of excitement.
Dak'Zul rose and gathered his thoughts, grabbing a few casks of poison and his serpent staff before walking outside to the deck. The sight he saw struck him as very familiar, but he couldn't place it for the life of him. The pirate they captured were surrounded by the crew and his warriors, and the pirates looked genuinely scared, all but one that is. There was a troll amongst the crew, and he did not have the look of a scared man, but a determined one, One who would not give up so easily. Dak'Zul stroked his chin with his great fingers and the thoughts clicked. His vision and these pirates were one in the same. He strode over to the group and they winced as he drew closer, he stepped amongst them and headed straight for the troll amongst the crew. "Brotha, Whadja be doin mon? Why ya be tackin us like dis?" He said with honest earnest.
The troll on the ground looked surprised when Dak'Zul had called him brother, but spoke with obvious hate in his voice."Seemed like an easy target, so we jumped, as you can see, we were proven wrong." He said, lacking the normal troll accent, as he looked up and met Dak'Zul's eye.
Dak'Zul smiled, his cheeks curving around his tusks and teeth in an awful sort of way. He laughed as the troll spoke. "Tack him below deck! Me be wantin tah speak to him latah. I want him undah careful watch!" He said as two trolls hauled him off beneath deck. He gazed over the rest of the crew, farm animals, as they were. "I have reaches mah decision for dese men! Dey will fight eachother in glorious batal! Dey will fight for a few more momants a life!" He shouted as his crew cheered back in response."Two at a time, Unchain dem and let them duel, I leave the rest to yah Vin." He said, pointing to one of his shadow hunters, who gave home a quick bow and nodded to the first two pirate prisoners. Dak'Zul
retreated back to his room, and took a seat. Things were apparantley going to be more exciting then he had imagined."Bring it on mon" He said, looking at his staff in a wicked way.

Thats awesome: you just gotta think of some reason they would be riding an enormous hairy creature that also swims rather then a boat...
Racial tradition. The huge creatures are native to Dwarven seas and mountains, and are passive to them. Is that good enough? [/spoiler]

Balinothan Ironbeard stood on the stern of the deck, the night sky riddled with stars illuminating the wooden floor he stood on. The dwarves were on what looked like a huge, very furry rhino, called an Agun supporting an enormous saddle with a structure on top, looking like a boat moddled to fit the beast. It swum through the water effortlessly, it's huge paws requiring little movement to act as great oars.

Balinothan stared sternly down at the deck, and his Dwarven guardsmen stood in a semi circle, hammers and axes at the ready, 20-odd men in pirate attire kneeling before them.
Ironbeard pointed at fout of the pirates.
"These ones. Feed 'em to the Agun pups, they could do with a snack. Not as sturdy as Milthir here." He ordered, in a voice of experienced command.
Five Dwarves grabbed the pirates by the wrists and dragged them to the side of the deck.
One of them, the obvious Captain, wearing a more tarnished, battle-weary and bolder blue coloured armour, put his fingers to his lips and let forth a sharp whistle.

Four much smaller Agun, bearing smaller saddles and holding one rider darted forward to the edge of the deck, cheery if ugly faces above the water and ready for feeding.
"Captain Urlth. Do it." Balinothan called to the Captain, and on a count of three the Dwarves tossed the four pirates over the edge of the boat, and as they fell the pirates yelled and screamed, trying to hold onto the wood and fur, but nevertheless flailing madly as they all plummetted into the chilly water.
The Agun did not waste time, and instantly chomped on the men, quickly eating them.

"The rest, tie up below decks. They can do peasent jobs for us when we make land."
He decided, as the Pirates were grabbed by their wrists and pulled to a staircase.
"And if they're feelign rebellious, the Agun always like a snack.." He spoke darkly at the Pirates, to which murmers of terror and submition were uttered.

"LAND HO, SIR!" A booming voice yelled from the bird's nest. Balinothan instantly looked ahead, and sure enough, as the morning sun pulled up, a clear yet shadowed landmass was visible.
"Full speed ahead, Elgurth!" Ironbeard yelled at his cousin, Elgurth, who was perched on a platform surrounding the great horn of Milthir, and he pulled reins back to a roaring response to the furry beast, and it paddled along faster then before.
Balinothan smiled as they gained speed.

The day had been rough, and great grey clouds loomed overhead, you had told the crew constantly to think for themselves and settle these disputes, but you were unfortunatley stuck with a group of nimrods. They may be tech suavey, but they didn't have much experience at sea, heck, none of them had experience at sea. You would hear a fellow vomit his lunch and dizzly walk back to his cabin.

The light pitter patter of rain calmed you from the chaotic day, you then heard a knocking at the door, you were somewhat groggy, since you had to take a rest because the sea had gotten to your stomach. You left the desk and all the work that you had done on it, the desk had blueprints and schematics for an airship once they reached land. The airship was the greatest feat of the gnomes and valparians efforts, as much as the valparians hated to be at war, they had no choice, since they saw the evil greed of the other races. Walking to the door was a task for you sometimes, especially on the rocking boat. On the other side was one of the battlemages, he saluted you, you saluted back.
"Lord Vecha" The mage bellowed "The pirates are on the deck and are awaiting their fates." He said in his heavy voice
"Right" you said, as if this was just a casual walk in the park "Get the crossbows ready, i'll determine which of the scum should die." You said with a dark voice
"Yes sir" The battlemage proceeded to escort you to the deck, where the gutless scum were held.
"You'll never scare us you weaklings, you and your machines, nothing but wimps I see around me." This came from an orc, judging by his look, he was obviously the idiot of the group, and was the leader, typical of an orc pirate leader, he was just a piece of meat that would be shot at first. "Oh, im sorry sir, what was that? I couldn't help but see that you are tied up on our deck and at our mercy scumbag." You said with sarcasm, and smiled. This enraged the orc, his nostrils flared and you knew he was gonna cause a ruckus.
With a swift movement, you ran up and chopped into his stomach with a poisoned axe, the orc reeled back and screamed a blood scream. There were only four others you would need to dispose of, you knew for a fact that the others had been abused slaves, you could tell from their eyes, they had the eyes of an animal that knew it was going to be slaughtered.

The other four were lined up, and shot in the stomach so that they died a painfull death. You let the slaves go, however you asked them to simply help you with farming and agriculture in the new land, they all accepted, except for one fellow in particullar. This man walked up to you and said "Please sir, I beseech thee." He kneeled, "Teach me the arts of how you control your machines and how to build them." This man was a human, asking to become a gnome battlemage, the battlemages smirked at the question.
You looked the man in the eye, in his eyes you saw a brilliant flame of determination, however you knew that he needed to be tested, just to see if he could do what he wished to do, and to make sure the battlemages didn't start to doubt him, he didn't have power to restrain them, and they would revolt if they doubted him. "Fine" the battlemages looked up with puzzled and annoyed expressions, the mans eyes lit up "But first you must undergo a trial, to see if you are capable of doing such a task, what is your name?" He stood and saluted "I am Leon Z Satchel, I will not let you down sir." He said as the sun rose and your scout reported land, many people had relieved expressions, and we were happy that we made it there alive.

Humans:

You retreat back to your quarters, exhausted but glad of your decision. Those foul pirates will make good slave labor, well worth the couple of guards needed to watch them. One problem however, was the amount of food an extra 20 people demanded.

The next two months go off without a hitch, except for one of your peasants falling from the front deck and getting simultaneously crushed and drowned. What an unfortunate waste.

And then, on the third month of your voyage, the lookout spotted land at last. It wasn't until several hours later that you saw a that the land formed a natural gulf, perfect for a harbor. You ordered to have the ship land in the harbor, and the people feasted using the last of the supplies brought for the trip. You claim the land for the mighty Human empire, and must begin construction immediately. What are your orders?

Great posts so far, although except for in a few exceptions from now on you roleplay your leader giving out orders, like how many men scout the land, how many work on the hard labor of building the town, and specifics on what you would like for the town to build [Ie. A still or a wall]

Trolls:

Your warriors quickly set up a small arena at the very front of one of your ships using a semi-circle of spears and the railing at the front of the ship as boundaries. The various slaves are lined up nearby, chained to the ground while your Lieutenant gives each of them a nickname based on their race or appearance.

Next, a tournament of sorts is set up, with the winner of the match going up, and the losers mangled remains thrown to the sharks. The final winner gets the great reward of... enslavement for the remainder of his days!

And then the fun begins! Several hours later, only the insolent troll from earlier remains, sitting in the middle of the bloodstained arena, his latest combatant lying in several pieces strewn about the floor. Your lieutenant throws a dark gray vial into the ring, and a cloud of thick gas fills the arena. When it clears, the troll is asleep on the ground, still clutching the severed arm of his opponent.

Another two months pass, and your boat at last lands at the new world. You name the new colony Da Jihn's Glory, after the great leader of the troll people. The area is a jungle, much like the jungles native to the trolls.

Just separating the various paragraphs with spoilers...carry on

Dwarves:

The 16 pirates still alive are worked like slaves. With 8 of them always rowing, in 6 hour shifts, you make amazing time. You reach the continent in another month and a half, and arrive in a great snowy wasteland. A few fir and pine trees dot the landscape. After a short day of feasting, you head northwest to a mountain range. 2 weeks and 4 dead slaves later, you reach the mountain.

A great cavern with a narrow opening is discovered, perfect for your needs. With the various fungi you brought with you, you should be able to start a nice little mushroom farm to provide food. There is a problem, however. Towards the back of the cavern is another opening, going on for who knows how far. But that is a problem for another day. Your colony needs a place where the icy winds and snowstorms can't reach them.

The colony, the Ironbeard Colonization Foothold, is born here. The caverns at the back need to be explored, mines should be dug for building materials, underground farms for food, and exploration of the area around the cave. But those are problems for another day.

I have a few problems with your post.

First, it is written in the second person, please write in third or first person.

Second, I would prefer if you didn't introduce new characters that AREN'T members of your colony.

Third, Your a gnome! Your a bright, eccentric, curious creature exploring the world. Your roleplaying like an Orc! Gnomes can't even carry battle axes! Lighten up and act like a gnome! Gnomes don't ruthlessly execute pirates like that. I mean, if you wanna punish the pirates, be more subtle! Use them as test subjects or laborers.

Last, you don't change things I put in to fit your own means! You can't decide that you'd rather have some nice obedient workers, and change the nature of the enemies I send at you!

Gnomes:

The airship continues on its plotted course, reaching the new world in a month. A great forest lies below, and you fly over it all, looking for a clear area to land. You go on for a few days over the forest before you find a warm, wide plateau quite a ways up in a great mountain range. You land the airship, and begin construction of the great Colony of Zeifen. Tents are quickly erected, in place of permanent buildings. A great number of rabbits are seen all over, which should provide food at least for a while. Lots of materials perfect for engineering are likely to be found in the mountain, if you can drill deep enough. Your people require your guidance.

In case you don't want to read through the above paragraphs several times, the following happened.

The humans landed in a nice bay at the southern tip of the continent, filled with trees and plenty of trade.

The trolls landed in a jungle not unlike their homeland.

The Dwarves have a cavern on the southern side of a great mountain range.

The gnomes have a plateau on the northern side of a great mountain range, near a great forest.

And now sleep.

Dear Game Master:
Permit me to make the following recommendations, as it is not in my habit to disobey the GM deliberately.

First, the "few exceptions" were not very well clarified and therefore improvements cannot be made in my current methodology of posting in this RP.

Second, as long as a person maintains one method of narrative without straying it's fine. Second person is difficult to convey, but very rewarding in how visceral it can become. Large confusions arise when someone begins to switch or remain in present or future tense when others are in past tense.

Third, your take on Gnomes may not be entirely embraced by those of us who haven't had the fantasy genre inspirations you've had, and as such if you want to have a case of unique or specific gnomes [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OurMonstersAreDifferent], more clarification would be nice.

Lastly, "And now sleep." I somehow get the impression was not part of the game, even though it's not in an OOC or OOG box.

I am confused about my colony. We were advised to describe our colony, so I did so with mine; Grunenberg is an expanding city with a population of a few thousand. Am I to now reabvert that I am creating a new colony separate from this one from scratch?
"the land formed a natural gulf, perfect for a harbor." sounds like there's nothing there.

Either I'm landing in established Grunenberg, which would make it appropriate to edit your description of my landing, or I must edit all of my input regarding my character and colony to accommodate the fact that I have yet to create a colony, let alone name it- nullifying the need for me to earlier describe or even name it. Unless it's a new colony seperate from Grunenberg, which would make perfect sense if I landed in Grunenberg and then redeployed myself to a new location for a new colony.

As the massive Agun reached the landmass, it became more clear. Instead of what they had thought to be just a mountain, a gaping, great hole was visible beneath it.

"A cave...?" Balinothan pondered to himself, before chuckling heartily and roaring "A cave! We make to dock there, we'll be settling in ancestral territory boys and girls! There be mining prospects ahead!"

In response to this, many of the Dwarves whooped and cheered at this prospect.
Mining for minerals, archaelogy, geography, historical value, or simply for fun, was not uncommon for Dwarves, and it was a racial tradition to mine, the Dwarves natively living in a mountain, mining was taught at schools!

With renewed strength, Elgurth lead the speed ahead, pulling the reins hard as Milthir the Agun sped to it's destination.

Within the half hour, they had made port, and Milthir taking a rest on the shore, his pups with sleeping beside him, the Dwarves made haste to unload their supplies.

Quickly doing so, Balinothan felt a rest and celebration was in order.
"Tonight, we up the tents. Tomorrow, we begin exploration of the mine, and the first building! An inn, a place of resting for those of you who have worked hardest on the voyage here. At first, anyway, until we expand!" Expectant cheers arose from the 50-odd men and women, weary cheers, but cheers none the less.

They began putting up the Dwarven-decoration adorned tents, large enough to fit 4 people in one, and Balinothan took no measures to priorotise himself, sleeping with three peasants.
The night went easy, the Dwarves and even the slaves settling to sleep in moments after the day's work, their slumber not penetrated by the Agun's dull snores.
Even the slaves were treated fairly, getting their own tents and sheets.

<spoiler=Character Sheet>Colony Name: Imperial City
Race: Orcs
Leaders Name: Wazzdakka Grotsmek
Colony and Leaders Background: It was decided by the Orc Warchief that a new settlement shall be established in the new land. He gathered up the worst scum he could in the Orc capitol and sent them on their way, lead by one of his nobles, Snubsnik. Wazzdakka was one of the scumbags one the ship, and he was disgusted to be lead by a pansy who blindly followed the will of the Warchief, who had ordered his family killed after a falling out in the Warchief?s court. Thus, two days into the voyage, Wazzdakka challenged Snubsnik. Snubsnik nearly won the hours long bout, but at the last minute Wazzdakka tripped the Noble and sent him spiralling into the sea. Wazzdakka now intends to create a rival Orc empire, and return home to overthrow the Warchief.
Artefact: ?Da Doombringa?, a large battleaxe crafted by the Dwarves to celebrate the Orc victory over the Humans at the end of the Freedom Wars. It is made of adamantium, the strongest metal in the world. No one knows why the dwarves crafted such a monstrously huge axe for the Orcs, but it is guessed that they were being held hostage or something similar. Da Doombringa gives all Orcs fighting near it a massive boost to their willpower and belief in winning, as a battle that featured Da Doombringa has never been lost. Wazzdakka stole it from the Warchief?s armoury before the expedition began.

The sounds of battle died out as Wazzdakka strolled across the decks of his flagship. The pirates had been defeated soundly in battle, Wazzdakka proud at having slain the most enemies. The captain of the flagship approached Wazzdakka. "Chief! We have taken captives! Whadda want us ta do with em?"
Wazzdakka looked at the captain. "I want any humans chained and beaten. They will be kept for the amusement of the crew! Behead any of dem stinking pansy elves, chuck da dwarves overboard and kill da rest. Wait. Round up any ovver orcs. And bring em before me. We gots some new additions to da crew!" The captain immediately began shouting orders, and Wazzdakka's commands were met. The 5 orc prisoners were brought before Wazzdakka as the dwarves were being thrown overboard. The crew had set up a betting pool to see who could toss a dwarf the farthest, and the laughter could be heard across the entire ship. Wazzdakka looked at the scrawny orc pirates. "You lot are a part of my crew now! Work hard and play hard, and everyfing'll turn out alright. If ya don't, I'll use yous as bait fer da sharkies, and da rest of us'll have a nice feed on fishies! Now, get ta work!" The new crewmembers scattered, heading below decks to find a job and be out of the way of Wazzdakka.

Wazzdakka strolled up to the bridge, and gazed out across the sea. All he could see was the ocean, for miles and miles...

A wave crashed against the side of the boat so hard it nearly tipped over and finally the General awoke. He rose slowly and glanced out the tiny window of his cabin and saw his soldiers surrounding about 20 raggedly dressed men tied to the mast... Pirates.

The General curse under his breath, his first chance for some action in months and he'd slept through it! He lent over to the wall and slung his blade over his back. He was, he decided, going to kill at least one Pirate.

He swung the door open dramitically and as if on cue lighting flashed from the sky illuminating him. He proceeded slowly towards the pirates limping heavily. He stopped and turned to his ship's captain.

"How many did we lose?" he asked.

"Seven, Sir"

"That's not bad" the General muttered.

He turned towards the pirates and started pacing in a circle around them.

"Now, earlier on this voyage I lost thirteen settlers and I need someone to fill their place. Though you pirates are filthy little scumbags I think that you'll do do fine. However, I lost thiteen settlers and there are twenty of you, so some of you..."

He stopped suddenly and glared at the pirate in front of him.

"Some of you are not going to live."

The pirate he had stopped in front glared back at him defiantly, it was clear why the general had chosen to stop in front of this man, he was the clear leader of the pirates. He was the oldest looking, the best dressed, wearing a jacket as opposed to some of his fellow who wore no top at all and was wearing a tricorne hat.

He drew his massive sword from the sheath on his back and with one swing decapitated not only the pirates captain but the three men next to him as well. The next swing he gave sliced three pirates perfectly in half. He turned back toward his cabin sheathing his sword. When he reached his door he turned and said "You will work as peasants when we arrive in the new world and any man involved in a rebellion will be dealt with the same way as those men" he said pointing to the dead bodies "That is if you even reach the new world alive" he called chuckling as he opened the door "you'll sleep ouside tonight, tied to the mast."

He grinned an slid back inside.

Dak'Zul awoke from his meditiation as he heard the yell from one of his Shadow Hunters.
"Dere be land mon!" Vin shouted in earnest as they came up upon the coast. It seemed to be a beach that was fairly normal, But then a thick dense jungle where the beach stopped.
Dak'Zul got up from his sitting and walked to the deck, and seeing the Jungle almost made his heart skip a beat.Tis been far tah long... He thought as the ships drew nearer. He walked over to the side of the ship, waving the excited trolls out of his way. He got to the edge of the boat as they landed and the first boat began to drop, a passage from the boats to land."I will be tah first to go... Vin, Bring Jak and Jok, we be headin to shore." Dak'Zul said as he motioned to two more warriors, Who were twins. He climbed on board the smaller boat as his trusted Shadow Hunters got on and they decended to the water, The three warrors began to row with the few paddles on board. When they got to land Dak'Zul climbed out and kneeled down, feeling the sand and rubbing it between his large fingers. As the other trolls of the boat were getting anxious to be off, Dak'Zul grabbed a vial from his pack and uncorked it, letting it drip over the beach. A fire erupted as it hit, And Dak'Zul roared."Come mah brothas! Dis be where we stay! Da Jihn's Glory be here mon!"
There was an outbreak of cheering as the trolls began lowering the other boats and filling them with supplies, And some even jumped off the side and began to swim to shore, And the last boat to make it off contained his other two shadow hunters, and the troll pirate in chains. When everything had been hauled to shore, including a few more trips for the supplies, Dak'Zul walked to the front of the tribe and looked them over, Each face beaming with the sense of adventure and excitement. "Brothas and sistahs! We be headin back into teh Jungle!" He yelled as they all began to haul the packs of things into the dense vines.

Edit:OOC
Sorry, didn't know that, plus, you sorta posted a bit late, next time, try to post the introduction the right way before everyone starts to post, no offense, but it's just a long process of typing a new story now, but I will continue it. Aside from that, I will make a new post, and be in first or third person.
Edit 2:Okay, reposting the story
The second you hit land, there were people tieing the boats down and rushing to a natural cave in the mountains. You got lucky, since it looked like the storm would make short work of your tents, and even if you encountered a foreign enemy in this land, they would not dare fight in such a storm, it was an idiotic move, especially cause of the fact that the water would wash them down the hill the cave was atop of. "Secure some wood and build a door, for now we sleep in this cave." you said, with an expression that not even a mind reader could gaze into.

Behind you came someone shouting sir, you turned to see Leon, "Sir" he said, gasping for air, it was obvious he had rushed here "Is there anything you want me to assist with?" With a brief pause, you sighed and said "I need you to make use of that so called magic" you pointed to a patch of forest "You have to get some trees quickly, if you don't have the power to lift a tree with magic, then you certaintly won't be able to power one of our machines, now go with that squad of mages." He ran anxiously, ready to prove himself, you gasped for air, talking so much, especially in this weather condition was a bit strange for you.
You waited patiently, as the crew set up temporary beds in the cave. You then heard a few gasps from behind you from the battlemage group, you turned to see the boy had lifted an entire tree using magic, by himself. You pondered at this, such a boy being able to do such a task? No, there is something about him, and you wanted to know. But you were pressed for time, and you sighed, it would have to wait, as you ordered them to make a primitive door, this door was special however, it was implanted into the ground and was raised using magic.
Finally after much time, you finished the door, the entire task took much time, but you still had time to gather wood and other resources before needing to go, and rest. You decided to have the builders work on a wall, and to have the miners, start mining the cave, appropriate housing would not get done for a good 2 days, the wall alone would take this entire day, but it would be mounted with your small amount of soldiers, and the would be able to hold of any small group of attackers, only a small siege weapon would be able to tackle this wall, furthermore if it rained hard enough, the hill would be very difficult to climb.

When I asked in the character sheet for Colony background, I meant the general background of the people brought along to start the colony, such as a certain political party or subjects of a Lord of some sort. When you talked about Gunenberg, I was gonna ask you to change the description, but then I thought, hey, your the humans, you discovered the continent first so it makes sense that you would have a colony in place already, and your ship would be loaded with 50-odd settlers to start a new colony. Im sorry about the misunderstanding. Beside that, you were decidedly vague on the population of your existing colony. This isn't your fault, I was vague exactly on the time line of when Eredar was discovered and such. Here's an attempt to give you and other players a general idea of whats happened.

First, Humanity discovers a map hidden in the great Cathedral in the capital, left upon the altar. Humanity takes this as a sign from God. They examine the map, and see that it shows not only the known world but also another great continent over to the west labeled Eredar. Humanity sends a scouting ship loaded with settlers over to see if the map is correct. The ship lands, starts a colony, and send back a boat immediately with news that the map is correct. Upon the boats return, the other races learn of the new continent through various spy networks.

Boats are launched from all the nations to colonize the New World, Humanity sending settlers to start a SECOND colony, separate from the first. That said, its highly unlikely that Grunenberg has a population of several thousand, more likely around one or two hundred. Perhaps Grunenberg will grow to become that large, but probably not for at least a few years in game. Grunenberg is under a rival lords jurisdiction. If you would prefer to keep Grunenberg as your colony name, I can change things.

I find myself rather baffled by this post. If your holed up in a cave, what would the point of a wall be? Furthermore, you have no building supplies with which to construct a wall, and mining for materials requires pickaxes, hard labor, and time. Also, Please be specific on what you want done for "proper housing" please. Do you want separate rooms mined from rock, or the existing great cavern divided using walls built by you? Please specify.

Edit2:

OOC: Gnome guy...your post was fine. If you have it saved you can use it. No need to change your current story, just from now on don't kill people with battle axes, alright?

Hate to double post, but editing into that post above is just a pain.

Captain Pirate said:
The next morning, your people came out and armed themselves to the bone with whatever they had, which was unfortunately not much in terms of war gear. Your elite dwarven warriors had pretty decent armor, and a battle axe for each. Your militia had weak leather armour, and some shoddy axes. Your peasants had regular clothing, and whatever they pieced together, mostly consisting of Pickaxes, which you had plenty of for mining.

Upon entering the cave, you lead your people inside and find an enormous cavern, More then big enough to fit several thousand people inside, let alone 50. Torches are attached to the wall as you go. Several hours later, when you reached the very end of the cavern, you see another passageway branching off, far too narrow for all of your people to follow you. You and your elite warriors and militia slowly walk along the passage, weapons out and ready along with torches. The passage twists and turns and about an hour in branches off 3 ways. You turn back, not willing to get lost in this dark system of tunnels just yet. Upon your return, construction of the inn has begun. A rough framework of the building is built, with roughly twenty dwarves working on it.

Thank you for the clarification.
The day after the Feast of Arrival, Baron von Rotstein looked out onto the fielded plain before snowcapped mountains, stretching up to the sky. He looked back, taking notice of the other early risers to await his first commands, emerging from the tents.
"...The new world..." said one man.
"As unparalleled in opportunity as a painters canvas." Proclaimed the Baron. "Take some saws and fell a few trees for us to construct cabins with." he said to the men on his left. To the right he instructed "Forage some food, local game such as birds or smaller creatures. If you find any fruit that looks good to eat, bring it back to see if it's poisonous or not. Lieutenant."
"Sir?"
"My plan, if you please."
The Lieutenant handed him a small booklet with a red marker. Harold flipped through the pages until encountering a small inscription and picture, which he updated and wrote upon.
"I hereby declare this place to be the location of the new colony of Rodstadt."

"Can't you imagine it, Marcus; over there we'll have two large cabins for us all to live in until we can afford and construct larger logins, there storage for our food and supplies. Then from there, who knows, a trading post for the natives, a store for imported goods, a fishing wharf, a church with a bell tower-"
"A bell tower? My good Baron, your ambition may exceed your years."
"Poppycock! Why shouldn't or colony grow in size? A city needs such things-"
"As bronze, and a bellcaster, sir. It's a good thing the Minister sent me with you sir, or you might very well start planning a ball before you have chairs."
"Right you are." said the Baron with a chuckle. "Oversee the procurement of the remainder of goods from the ship so they can be on their way back to Grunenberg. I will assist with the wood-felling men."
The Baron and the Lieutenant went on their ways. Harold expected easy finding of the very useful and abundant cedar timber in the near forest, Rotstadt being only a few dozen leagues to the southwest of Grunenberg.

Dak'Zul lead his tribe into the jungle, looking for an area suitable for construction of his new city. He had Vin at his side, carrying his load of the work and his staff, He trusted Vin above all of his other hunters, and he was extremely loyal back. They were creeping through the jungle, pushing apart branches and vines as they went, untill Dak'Zul saw a boar scratching it's head on a tree."Vin, me blowdarts mon." He said quietly as Vin handed over the hollowed stick and an assortment of darts. He looked each dart over quickly, choosing just the right Poison for the job. He had settled upon a fairly weak poison of sorts, merely meant to paralyze, and not leaving much of any poison in the meat. He took quick aim and blew it through the Stick, sending in into the hind leg of the beast. It swiveled quickly, then saw the tribe, and began a charge, only to make it halfway an fall into a slump, and Dak'Zul quickly ripped it's throat with a slice of a knife. "First kill be here brothas, this where we start our new citah" He said as he strode past the exited trolls. " Begin settin up tah tents, Wah don't need tah be out here with no tents now" He said as he slumped down next to a tree, and began to meditate.

OOC:
True, I do need to specify, but I killed the pirates with crossbow bolts/arrows, not with a battleaxe, anyway, i'll continue the story.

Also, I fixed up some confusion that I didn't previously notice, sorry for that, also the setting is night time now, and they basically spent a few hours gathering wood and other resources, if I remember correctly, one pound of iron isn't much, if it is and the same with the torches, I will adjust any further errors.
The days work had been hard, but you finally accomplished a wall around the cave, just because the cave had a nice gap, and also for better protection for now, you turned your attention to the miners, they had found only a pound of iron. You sighed, atleast you found some iron, but now the question was, how would the night play out?

You rubbed your eyes
"Alright men, report on our situation." you pointed to the battlemages,
"We have the automatons tuned up, they appear to have been a bit damaged from the pirate attack, but not too much." They responded
"Good, what about the lumber group? Minus the lumber used to make the wall, and wood gate."
"Well sir, we have enough wood to make a piece of a log house." you pondered what to do next with the wood, if it was fine outside tommorow, you would gather more wood and build a perimeter wall for the layout of the area that would be used for housing.

"Builders, what do you have to report?"
"well sir, we couldn't build the wall right, so instead we reinforced the gate, and added a roof outside the gate, we have some unused lumber and we built support beams for the mine shaft." You looked at them with a puzzled expression
"I thought you said you would be able to make a wall, what happend?" The builder sighed
"well, we couldn't make a strong wall without nails, and at the time, you had no iron."
"Right then, tell me, what is the status on food?" you heard a nearby worker answer, it was easy to see, the man had been exhausted.
"Well sir, we have barely enough to survive tonight, and also, our supplies with the crossbows are not good, we only have enough arrows to hold off a small force." The man was formally in the army, his knowledge of ammunition, and battle did not suprise you.

This information stabbed at you, in order to survive, especially if the humans had been here for a week, would require a larger amount of supplies. Finally, you commanded that everyone go to bed that was a worker, and that the battlemages that had slept most of the day, ready for night watch, go and observe the area, in case an enemy finds the location of this cave, you doubted it, since the outside was very dark, and you were hidden by some trees, otherwise, anyone from the sea may spot your location. Torches dotted the cave, you were able to make 6 of them using some coal you had found, and some of the wood. However the light was therefore, scarce in the cave, since it was somewhat big. You yawned, and layed on the makeshift bed, and were serinaded to sleep by the music the rain made.

Dak'Zul woke with a start, he had drifted into sleep while meditating that day.Long day mon... he thought as he got up, Vin at his side.
"Sah da tribe has made camp and wah did not wish ta disturb ya." Vin said in a hushed voice."They also started a fire with the help of Jak, who lent dem a potion. Cmon sah, I'll take ya to yor tent" Vin said As he lead Dak'Zul to his tent, his things already moved in. He looked at the small bedroll in his tent and the small table with some various ingrediants next to it.
"Dunno wha I'd do without cha Vin." Dak'Zul chuckled as he walked and sat in his bedroll. "Hows dah condition on da supplies?" he said toward Vin.
"Well sah, we got nuff food for couple days, and Da weapons are In okay nuff condition... But some of the ingrediants you had brought wid us went soggy, we kept em just in case, but dey look ruined. Prisoner still in chains, but sleeping next to da fire."
"Keep an eye on em Vin Kay? He's still one a us." Dak'Zul said."Tomarrow we start building, so be ready. But for now, sleep mon, ya earned it." He said before climbing into his own and sleeping.

"Very good, people, very good indeed!" Balinothan complimented truthfully at the people's work on the Inn.
The structure was complete now, and work had begun on carving the roof out of the rock.
"Elgurth, order the beginning of smaller huts. Two stories, with stairs leading up to each on the outside. With effort, we can make time in a few days for two to three in one small house.
I'll oversee the finishing of this first one." Balinothan asked of his cousin.
"Bali, what about the honourary-" Elgurth asked, before being cut off.
"We'll build the statue when we've got the basic structure of the ground floor of this city layed out." Balinothan replied.
"City?!" Elgurth exlcaimed
"Aye. You ever visit Snowstone Halls? In Olrin Mountains?"
"Yes, but... you really think we can...?"
"Aye, take a moment, cousin, and convey this cavern." Balinothan asked, looking around.
It truly was massive, and in Dwarven house size, at least 20 stories high.
"We can go far here, my brother."
"But at present?! With only the first buildign nearing completion you're thinking so far ahead?!"
"Aye, but thinking only, Elgurth. For now we will complete the first floor, then the statue of honour. Ah, which reminds me, have our five best archaeologists and 5 of their best miners to get digging near that narrow cavern. If we widen the tunnel, mining prospects will be so very plentiful, and after that, we can split off into more mining tunnels, and expand for more homes." Balinothan pondered.
"Sir, shall I?" Elgurth asked.
Balinothan nodded.

With a mighty shout, Elgurth ordered the 10 chosen men to get mining, before yelling as an extra "And the first man who finds a new mineral, or Ulurn, will get the honorary statue made of them!".
This worked as a better motivator, and, wheelbarrows filled to the brim with mining and archaeology gear, the ten men set to work at the narrow tunnel, quickly expanding it.

Gnomes:

You are woken up in the middle of the night by the sounds of battle. Explosions and screams and the ***** of metal clashing with metal. You rush out of your cot and see a group of civilian gnomes huddling in fear. You order them to follow you as you rush out and see your wall crumbled to the ground, with the smell of burning flesh all around the air. As you and your followers run past the wall, you see your battlemages atop the gate hurling bolts of magic into a large group of trolls. Around 30 or 40 trolls are still alive, although countless more are littering the ground near the gate. One of your battlemages turns and sees you, and slow falls down towards you.

"They came in the middle of the night. Luckily, we were awake so we managed to ambush them before they stumbled upon our encampment. I believe they were sent here, theres no reason that they would be here otherwise." The mage says.

The mage levitates you and him up onto the wall and you look down at the trolls from this new vantage point.

You can see an enormous troll towards the back of the attacking force. He is separate from the rest of the army and surrounded by five of what looks like troll mages or priests of some sort.

One of your mages see's you looking and tells you, " We believe that is the enemy leader, but all of our attacks have been deflected by his guards."

It is clear that if you can eliminate the leader, that the rest of the trolls will fall into chaos.

This is an instance where you don't decide exactly what happens, you post what you plan to do in character. Ie. Me and my mages, after a short debate, jump down and slowfall towards their leader. It will still be a decently sized post though, and longer then that example. You just don't decide the outcome of your actions.
