Well he's convinced me to give Edge of Darkness a try. Though he's starting to annoy me with his bias against movies that deal with God.

Remember years ago, when they were making Braveheart, everyone said "it's ridiculous, Mel Gibson playing a Scottish guy, that's not gonna be very convincing". And look at him now...an alcoholic racist.

I was desperately hoping that this movie was an ironic joke.
It seems PAINFULLY generic.

Yeah sure it might be all that we can anticipate from a revenge movie, and it delivers as promised, but seriously, why bother with these movies? There has been made tons of these a year since the dawn of cinema. Good effects, believable stunts? George Lucas officially alienated me from regardig that as a selling point for watching a movie. (Thrice curse upon thy fiendish head Lucas!)I'd go for the classic movies in this genre, mainly because they are from the 80's and I love laughing at the hairdos eg. The german terrorists.

haha his attitude is a bit grating, and it only got weirder when he actually appeared in one of his videos

Yeah it was a solid movie. I enjoyed it more than Braveheart, which I watched today.

I can't agree more with the Green Lantern movie. I have loved Green Lantern for a long time and CANNOT wait for the movie.

Um. Where do we find out about the semi-coherent treatise on the patriarchal dynamics as seen in the Bearenstien bears?

What? it sounded interesting.

I think you might be disapointed bob, i have read about it and Reynolds is DEFFINATELY doing the deadpool film, i heard something about him scrapping the lantern one. If im wrong then his doing both because i have heard it from a reliable website and internet series that the dead pool film is deffinately being done with Reynolds in it, i know i already said that but i needed to repeat for all you dead pool fans like me RYAN IS DOING DEADPOOL.

Probably is getting abused because it is kind of based in reality.
Nah, really?

Oh, yeah, really.

...

I wonder what MovieBob thought of that whole Trijicon fiasco [http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=biblical+verses+sights].

There are definite references to Leon, BtVS, Equilibrium and various incarnations of Batman in there, and I'm sure the red and green kids are references to ... erm ... someone ... maybe one of the Turtles ...

All I've heard about it so far is that it's basically the BBC version, just with all the subplots, intelligence and general thought taken out of it. Then again, I heard that about the Hitchiker Guide to the Ga... Oh wait.

Yeah, I'll stick with the 80's version and watch Taken again. Also, Americans, would you please stop taking British things, shoving American actors in them and then calling them original? Besides, the American in Edge of Darkness isn't a "Boston Cop", he's a CIA operative.

Despite being a practicing Jew I love Mel Gibson for one reason; Payback. Great review as always and YES for the record, I would love to hear your rant about family dynamics in the bearinstein bears (spelling?)
He's doing both, Deadpool is Marvel, Green Lantern is DC, therefore, he's free to do both.

Hooray.

In the original, it was a British policeman and a US government op in Britain. In this one, it's a US policeman and a British government op in the USA.

It takes a lot from the original and a little bit from The Crow. It's far too short for some stuff to make sense. The original series beats it to hell.

MovieBob said soemthing about being tortured making him stronger, and that's an unfair comment.

The girl [http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=Bojana+Novakovic] looks delicious, though. Well, some of the time. Obviously not all of it.
