Wait, Bob, go back a bit. Did you just hate on Blade Runner, possibly the best movie Ridley Scott has ever directed?
No he was complimenting the lead actors abilities by saying he was in Blade Runner. Which was a fantastic movie, in which he played a fantastic part.

Ah, okay. I must've misinterpreted it then.

Phew, I was getting rather worried there. XD

I love redlettermedia's stuff. That was amazing. I love how they deliver it all in such a deadpan manner!

Isn't High School musical a quasi-ironic remake of Grease?
Albeit with a less... ugly moral.

I may be completely wrong here but i heard they were changing the origin story for the new Robin in Arkahm City. He is supose to be someone who lived in the part of the city that has now fallen to arkahm inmates, and being inspired by Batman, he took his cage fighting experience to become a vigilante and fight back against those who ruined his city.

-So i heard but once again i may be wrong. But if thats the truth, i really dont care if he is balled, so what? That has nothing to do with his CHARACTER which is far more important that it fits into the setting. And yeah, sorry Bob, but boy wonder would NOT have fit into the setting without making things get taken less seriosly.

Fianl OT: If you dont like it then just dont pre-order from best buy and you wont even have to worry about it.

I don't like the Robin design either but I'm curious about what "Douche" means in Bob's dictionary

Yeah Rocksteady really screwed that one up...
After looking at the new Robin I can't help but wonder if there's a template circulating. Cole MacGrath, Desmond, Altair, Ezio, Alex Mercer, Starkiller and now Robin (Tim Drake)...they all have the same look and could very well be the same person in different costumes.

OT: Hobo looks pretty good. I thought it came out on DVD though...I'll keep an eye on that one.
Omg that would be so great to find out Cole MacGrath is running around in Arkahm XD but yeah i do agree the trend needs to stop. I dont love the look, but im interested in his revamped back story.

OT: what would bob describe that makes one a "douche"? lol

I wanted to see this so badly from the NPR review a month or so ago, but sadly it's playing nowhere near me. Just a head's up, the closest three theaters to me had driving distances between 480 and 1200 miles. While the idea of making a documentary based on my cross-country trek to go and see hobo with a shotgun was mildly appealing for a momentary lark, I also pretty quickly realized that nobody care to actually see a documentary about a guy, driving cross country to see hobo with a shotgun. Unless the escapist wanted to fund it, in which case, let's roll America. Let's roll.

You'd think at worst I'd have to drive to LA, but no. My options are apparently a multiplex is Spokane and a place called Rodd's in a little town in the middle of nowhere, Arizona.

On another note, the new Robin looks like a badass... sort of a new age look at an older robin.

To be fair, three of those people are related. Still, I thought the exact same thing. And I dunno about the other guys, but at least Starkiller has an excuse: he was designed to look like his voice actor, Sam Witwer.

I wholeheartedly disagree with Bob's mid-credits take on Robin's design in Arkham City. First of all, it's a produt that's supposed to appeal to most everyone (like The Dark Knight), and secondly Robin is only a challenge mode character.

EDIT:

There's actually a practical reason reason for that look. Hair is difficult to animate, and if it's staying perfectly still (in most cases) hair can look a little jarring. Mentally, we associate the similarities more than the differences to group certain types of people together. Hell, Jack from Mass Effect 2 even fits the bill for the characters you listed.
Also Desmond is the exact same model as Ezio and Altair.

Wait a second.

Is this only now coming out in American theaters?

Regardless, I missed this in theaters in Canada, unfortunately, but I think it's on DVD now. I'm already looking for it on that for cheap, so...yeah.
Just finished reviewing the DVD and it is worth picking up, but the Blu-ray was the better deal.

Bla bla bla Bob. Robin looks cool. I never dug the whole "boy wonder" shtick and it wouldn't fit with Arkham's style anyway. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time Robin has been re-imagined as an emotionally disturbed, ultra-violent youth in combat armor, and that other time, it fucking worked [http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Batman_Under_The_Red_Hood/70135479?trkid=2361637].

Fuck yes, Under the Red Hood was great! Up there with Mask of Phantasm and Return of the Joker.

I like the idea that this Robin is into MMA, it makes sense in this generation. Plus, it's just a challenge mode character, so maybe the whole finding out Bruce Wayne's identity comes later in a full game.
