I never understood the rage against human characters in transformers. I strangely like Shia I think he's a good actor. I couldn't make it though the review cause it seem hate for hates sake. My personal opinion was it was the most fun movie i've seen this summer. But i'm not a critic or cynic....
Not to sound like a prick but you have awful taste in movies

Bit of a critique of a critique here...

Suddenly he's a fixture on the Escapist and he's TALKING MUCH FASTER. Now I like MovieBob a LOT, and I was just waiting for him to get a proper regular position, but still. He flashes up text while he's talking like Yahtzee does, except (very similar to Yahtzee's quicktime event rant here) when Yahtzee does it it's at least reasonable to read them as you're going. With the ones in this, I had to go back and pause it to actually read all of it. Yes it's funny stuff, but all that it served to do because it was on screen for such a painfully short time was serve to break up his review and make it more disjointed.

This whole thing has given me an idea... to the microphone!

But still. I quite enjoyed both the new Transformers movies, and I am a HUGE fan of the original source material. Considering who Michael Bay IS, I think we have got off exceptionally lightly.
I enjoyed hating it

Y'know, Movie bobs opinions are becoming less and less valued by me. EVERYONE I know liked the Transformers movie and I've been told that the second is even better.
You obviously saw the wrong movie, and the people around you are completely stupid

I am one of the few people who doesn't despise the live action Transformers movies. Regardless, I can't deny that this is a bad film-but I will admit that it has given me more entertainment than a lot of other films.

And Michael Bay is not the worst thing to happen to Transformers by far.

Not many movies I walk out on but this is one of em, had to see it just cause. And it reinforced something I have thought for a long time. That Michael Bay is just not talentless and a hack but seems to be missing a soul and even a basic understanding of how to interact on a normal emotional level. The guy is just a throw back that puts some very disturbing and non to subtle messages into he's films and yeah I hear about the monkey face gold tooth thing and thought "NO WAY THEY WOULD DO THAT" but they did/

Why don't they make a movie on "Johny Quest"? Not Micheal Bay, of course, but some other director.

Hmm, I see a lot of comments of people defending this movie who also mention their preference for Yahtzee...

Coincidence? or a douchebag correlation?

I'm sorry, but Uwe Boll movies are infinitely worse than anything Michael Bay does. Movie Bob needs to get his facts straight.

But I liked the movie. :p

You've never done better than this video Bob, and that says a lot more about this video than anything else. Great job.

Happy Feet was awesome. Nobody gives that crazy-ass movie the credit it deserves.
(supposed to be in qoutes ^)

I only got to watch about about 20 minutes of it before my foolish father put on the expendibles, he ruined my day

Hmm i know this movie isn't good, but i've still seen it like 8 times. I wish my friends had higher standards for movies jeez. I managed to get one of the them to take a risk and get district 9 solely on your discretion. I think that improved his standards a fair amount cause it really was the best movie we had seen in the last few years, so thanks for that bob!

Bob, i have only this to say:

WELCOME TO MY WORLD!

Or would "WELCOME TO MY HELL" be more appropriate? Trust me, i despise Hollywood remakes more than any Transformers fan ever could. Unlike The Transformers, Silent Hill once represented the zenith of horror, especially in the second title, but then it turns into a fucking movie that butchers the all-important atmosphere like a cowboy with a tiny dick next to a buffalo! FUCK YOU HOLLYWOOD! BURN AND DIE! THE FIGHTER AND KILL BILL WERE NOT WORTH WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN FROM ME!!! I WILL DESPISE YOU AND ALL YOU REPRESENT TIL THE DAY I DIE!!

Besides, i can name a dozen low budget films and foreign films that were better than almost any Hollywood title you can name. Serious question: Why has the the fucking American film industry died yet?!

Didn't think anything special about the first Transformers movie, I usually joked calling the movie by the title of "Sam Witwicky and the Transformers" based on just how little screen time the machines get.

I did dislike Transformers 2 more though. The only scene of which i liked was the fight where Optimus ends up losing. NOT because i don't like Optimus, but rather i thought it was a really good fight, with a lot of great action.
But that's it.

the stereotypical black characters, Transformers that they don't even bother to introduce properly, the big black balls on Devestator. All of it just a slap in the face to any Transformers fan.

That being said, while i am certainly not as big of a fan of Transformers as you are apparently, i can totally get your anger.

Coming from my angle, i am one of those "it's based on a toyline" perspective you slammed on. and by that i mean i don't take it seriously at the age i'm at right now. All i saw as a kid was some of the toys, and a few of the cartoon episodes, I never read the comics or anything else that added to the universe. So in accordance to not knowing all the extra stuff, i wasn't that tied or that big of a fan.
Hell i didn't even The Fallen was a character, I actually thought that meant the Decepticons who lost in Transformers 1 getting their revenge. With that said however, the bad treatment of characters, and overall terrible stories is pretty damn piss poor on any standard.

I will say this much... I won't see the third one that's for sure.

because most Americans still watch the movies the industry puts out, ether due to being over hyped by commercials and those tiny adds on websites. Honestly yea the transformers movies have sucked, for that i'm sad, my older brother had gotten me into all kinds of superhero comics, and some of the older animated movies, but out of all the ones he showed me i liked two movies over all. The transformers: The Movie out in 1986 which is still one of the greatest movies i have seen to date and was the first thing of transformers i ever saw, afterwards i hunted down comics and some older cartoons and loved it. the other movie was Starship Troopers and if you haven't seen the first movie go and watch it now, one of the best movies out there. the CGI was great, the fights were awesome, and although a bit predictable at times was blast to watch. but we are talking about transformers here.

The problem i have with the new movies is that aside from explaining who the Transformers are and why they are fighting, it doesn't go very far into the old history of Transformers, so far no mention of unicron u know eater of worlds, the one who remade Megatron into Galvatron after he was left for dead by starscream for starters. there is a whole wealth of things you can derive from the transformers lore and make a good movie out of it, hell even some of those semi new animated shows about the transformers minus the humans, maybe Beast Wars.

P.S. if they ever do get to unicron in a new movie if Michal Bay fucks that up hell will be raised.

I feel so close to the man behind this review right now...
Transformers will still make money but, does it help to know that we all agree?
or that i love you?

Forgot to mention, Dragonball evolution... that is all (a good percentage of my childhood nostalgia gone.)
