Come on, my fellow Americans! There's no reason we can't pull one of our own together! Especially now that we see how easy it is for the Australians to do it. And that with all those hat corks blocking their vision.

We could even enlist the Canadians to help. Because if the Canadians are good at one thing, it's helping with stuff! And indie rock music.

But we should have the meeting on the American side of the border. If I go anywhere where I can't expect the world handed to me at the asking I break out in a full-bodied rash.

Unless its going to be in Wyoming, I will be unable to make it sadly. Though I will go Shotgun shooting on that day so I feel included.

Fear not, American Escapists

We shall have our own meeting! It'll involve shooting shotguns, watching football, kicking babies, starting wars

you know... typical american activities
Hooray! I'm not technically and American Escapist, but I am in America for Uni. Am I still eligible to take part in the shotgun shooting and baby kicking?
yes, but you have to get a license if you're from abroad. To do this, you must drive a big truck while shooting a rocket launcher out the window while singing "America, Fuck Yeah!"
I already have that license! America Fuck yeah........*ahem* excuse me...

I would love to go, but sadly I live in America(New York) exactly 9952 miles(16016 kilometers) away. I'll be looking foward to hearing about it though.

Wyoming? Don't you ride around shooting stuff all day, everyday? You know, on your spirited wild stallion, wind blowing through your gruff stubble, as you enjoy a flavorful cigarette as you ponder the snow-capped mountains, wondering if all those Indians and buffalo you killed really made America a better place, or just ruined a pristine corner of the world?

Ew. That was awkward. I need to read Wikipedia and get more padding for my stereotypes. Wyoming is hard.

Of course, I'm in Pennsylvania. Last guy who tried to stereotype me just yelled "Liberty Bell!" and punched my back.

I look forward to your attempt, though. I always feel left out of the stereotype wagon. :(

Kinda makes me sad that I don't live in Australia, but then again we get games and don't have net censorship here...

Never mind, it's -15 *C right now, you win.

Besides I think there are only a few Western Canadians on here, and currently we're all at war over politics so a meetup would be a bad plan.

I've got a Pennsylvanian stereotype for ya: "Haha, you're, like, an Amish Quaker Mennonite, right? Like, 'cos you live in PA, right? Hahaha- You PACIFIST!!!!"

Well, in regards to the Sydney Escapist meet up, I hope everyone has a wonderful time and remembers to take plenty of pictures. Well, then whoever took the pictures will have to put them up somewhere so the rest of us not-so-geographically-gifted Escapists can see them.

You rock so hard. Seriously.
What can I say other than "I'm so metal, I bleed Iron"? I'll be bringing CDs, though I'm not sure if we'll get to use them anywhere other than a net cafe.

You know, when I went to New York, a bunch of retarded people actually thought everyone rode horses to school and work. I told them, no we drive, and they were shocked. Like they thought The old fashioned cowboy still ruled or something.

hmmmm what to use. How about Yo mamma cooks like a yankee( all I could find on wikipedia's page)? Yeah, that was lame, curse my lack of knowledge in stereotypes, and lame wikipedia stuff. LIBERTY BELL!!! "Reaches through Internet and punches The Bluesader in the back"

Hey thats fairly close to me, not going to come though what with being 16 and all.
Being 16 hasn't stopped me, or many others. Hell I don't think I'm even the youngest going, and I've organised most of this.

Yeah, I guess that's the best I'm going to get. Throw in some reference to Gettysburg and how we have a lot of expensive colleges and it would be perfect.

Perfectly AWFUL! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ugh.

See, that's why New Yorkers are so easy to make fun of. We don't even bother with specifics down here. We just say "New Yorker" and everyone nods. Maybe we all aren't even thinking the same thing. Doesn't matter. They are different from us, and therefore worthy of extremely light derision.

Thanks for the punch. Though I'm a little dismayed that nearly all attempts to stereotype me end with misdemeanor assault.

Damn shame I live 8,000 miles (as the crow flies, although that crow would get mighty tired flying over 7,000-plus miles of open ocean) away. A bunch of Escapists led by a babe in a bowler hat would otherwise be not to be missed.
