I'm not in Melbourne to organise one. However, there are quite a number of people in that area, if you want to do one of your own you're welcome to.
I might just do that. Anybody interested?
Bloody oath.
Well unfortunately that makes it about 4 of us. Well thats 4 that i can find.
Four ain't bad, look at how many are going to Sydney.
True. And i could probably get a friend of mine who is lurking at the moment. The main problem is that two of the others are a maybe and i know its problems we can work around (work and such) so it may be a while. And i know there are more Melbournians here, i just need to find them. Id like to get something up on the Aussie Escapist page.
Four nutcases in tattered clothing and excessive amounts of red makeup lumbering down the street isn't going to make much of an impression on the public. I'm thinking that with an aggressive advertising campaign, possibly in the local universities or something, we could scrounge up a veritable horde. I'd be interested, but only if there was enough people to make some kind of impression.

Chance are we wont get organised in time for that. And as far as i am aware RMIT students are prone to that sort of thing every now and then so we could organize something with them. But for a first time Melbourne escapism i doubt we could pull that off. And i take it you are interested?

I wonder if it would be possible to organise a country wide march. Like people from each state going to their state capital on the same day. yeah I know this is unlikely.
Trying to find a way to Sydney from Melbourne first day of school holidays is tough, unless I catch a train or bus to Sydney that night.

Why do I feel like I've just committed myself to something I'll regret...

I might flip down for a Melbourne stomp. I got some buddies down there I wouldn't mind catching up with, one of them I know goes to RMIT, so I'd be down to make some trouble if the time is right.
Well I'm likely to be down in July for a week.

Sweet. It's an "Until further notice" thing. My mother's down there for a conference and if she drives, we'll do it together so I can get some hours up. If she doesn't and flies, I'm not going.

Also, could you make a separate thread for an Escapism Melbourne if you're having one? This is getting kind of spammy.

I'll have to get back to ya on that Lab, i have been rather busy as of late.
Though i can say that it is likely, because the weekend it has been organised on currently is free for myself. Its just the fact that the day is a week before "the week".

The week being a mass of friends and families birthdays all crammed in that one time period...

I will update when i can get an answer.
