As I said in the group, I'm not making any hard promises this year until we're closer. I tried that last year and we all saw how that ended up :(

But I'll try my best to be there wherever it end up being.

And I'm old so I can pretend to be responsible as well...

Can I vote for Cornwall even if I'm not going?
...Y'know I wish you could, since I'm personally hoping for Cornwall xD but you can't unless you're really considering going.

I really REALLY wanna go! I'm 16 so my parents say I can go places now... although I doubt they'd approve of me travelling to London by myslef, or somewhere in the south-east :(. I live in Blackpool in the North-west and if its held in the south I don;t suppose any other people from the north could arrange meeting in Manchester or something?
well there's multiple people from Manchester who went down in a group last year, me included. I'm absolutely coming again this year last year was a great laugh, and I also defiantly want another t-shirt :3 and this time I want the right size xD. but yeah a manchester meet isn't too hard to arrange just pm me closer to the time if your actually coming :D, Also I've voted for manchester for ease of access and the bungee jumping WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

you should do it in Aberystwyth one year, just because it has the sea... iunno, i can't think of a good excuse, it should just happen.
Ha, definitely agreeing with this seeing as I live there.

As it stands, I might be able to come if it was in Manchester. Somewhere central seems sensible really.

You already know I'm going, voted for York even though Cornwall would be more convenient. Spending the week there on a family holiday and heading back up north on the 22nd. But, I think I might die from a whole week there.
I voted York, purely because it's closer to home, but I don't mind York or Manchester, either is good. Looking forward to it already. ^^

Even thou this is an American website? IROOONNNNY!!!!
So?

There's still tons of people in the UK on this website, and we are just having a little get-together, there's no need to be so immature about it....

Also, how is it ironic? By saying that you're stating that the original purpose for The Escapist was to bring together American gamers only.

And Excuuuuuuuuuuuuse me but that sounds an insy bit racist to me.

Either that or someone has misinformed you of the definition of irony.
Okay. No one is understanding what I'm saying. DUH i know there are other people from other countries here. It is a ironic that an American Website brought brits together. And a racist by definition is "a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others."

I always found there was nothing to do in York, except walk around the city walls and go on the ghost walk. But the ghost walk was fantastic mind.
Despite living so close to York, I'e only been there two or three times. I agree with that, there doesn't seem like there's anything to do, so I'm secretly hoping Manchester wins. I have a feeling it will, considering what people are saying in chat and on here.

I'm hoping Cornwall wins, it's a nice and pleasant place, very relaxing and sunny and a few things to do. But I understand why people want Manchester, it's very centralized and easy to get to go, it's built up and so on.
Normally I wouldn't mind Cornwall, I've been there a few times and it's a lovely place, but I'll be down there Monday to Friday with my family.
And I just typed out a whole paragraph trying to justify why I didn't pick Cornwall before realising it would be a whole lot easier and cheaper for me... I think I'm going to have to change my vote.

Dammit, I really would love something like this. Only problem is 1. I live in Sweden (WHY DO I HAVE TO LIVE HERE? WHY??? D:) 2. I have little to no money. 3. I'm way to lazy to actually make such a trip.

I'm jealous at you UK guys. <.<

Hm, I'd go for Cornwall. At least, if I can afford it by that time.

Anyone know of any entry level jobs for a foreigner who wasted too many years in a kitchen to fill in?

No?

Any place that will let me rent my body to science for a reasonable price?

Cork University will, except its more of a donation than a rent.
My cousin rented herself to an art university once though, that up your street?

Lame, being from Brighton sucks. It's nowhere near anything. Every one of those places is like a four hour trip minimum.

But I'll probs be busy anyway... [sub]I swear I'll turn up one year...[/sub]

Come to think of it I should probs join the group (and stop typing "probs")... *scampers off*
