I don't mind adverts on The Escapist usually, but what's the deal with the long thin drop-down adverts for Chevrolet et. al. that appear on the site?
They're really screwing up my browser (I'm running Chrome). There doesn't appear to be a way to close these adverts (clicking on the + sign at the top makes them bigger, as does clicking on them at all), and once they've displayed, I can't click on half the stuff on The Escapist, never mind that it's in the middle of the screen.
Am I missing a really obvious way to close them? Because as it is I'm basically forced to refresh or go back before I can use the page properly...
