Escapist Agony Aunt... err... uncle

The escapists needs a dedicated Agony Aunt or uncle or something. Somebody that can help us deal with our technological as well as social problems.

Well, until that person comes along. We can still help each other right.
Fellow escapists Gingerman and boholikeu helped me out on another thread. Perhaps there is somebody on this forum that can help you out.

Lets find some Agony Aunts!

It's simple, if you have a problem. Just post it. If you have a solution to somebody's problem, answer it. Include a quote of their problem in your post of course.

I'll start off with an answer to a common problem. Many escapists apparently feel that they are too ugly to find a girlfriend. Pure poppycock , I say! From what I've seen, anybody can find a decent mate. And we're all beautiful to somebody. To help the process along. Do the following:

- bath often
- Shave that neckbeard!
- use a good cologne (and not too much of it)
- Wear decent, somewhat trendy clothes. A t-shirt and jeans are always trendy and never go out of style
- Invest in an awesome pair of shoes

I'm no Casanova, but those simple steps helped me initiate the start of a 2 year relationship still going strong.

Hmmm, I dunno, Most of the time different people are good for giving advice on different subjects. For instance, I would never ask Hubilub for relation ship advice, but I would ask about afro upkeep. I don't think we need any1 person for advice/help.

what should i do when everybody else's obsession with factors i cannot change leads me to a desperate search for a way of doing so, just to feel moderately happy with myself..? ultimately ending in failure, and recently landing me in heavy bouts of cyclothymia, and many near-suicidal mood swings, several occasions where ive had to stop myself from doing so, and a couple of obviously failed attempts on my own life..?

i would appreaciate the help, because apparently the NHS feels its acceptable to make me wait over 6 months for even a vague attempt to help, with shitty therapy no less, and allow me to decend into this state.

but of course, the is a sarcastic responce... what i really mean is:

- lets discuss the real topic, not relationships... and,
- agony aunts are useless.
