Escapist Competitions Question

I know the Escapist puts on various competitions and what not (I've seen the badges, you can't hide from me!) but I wondered how often it was done, what kind of things are involved and if anyone has any interesting information about competitions put on here. I searched this and didn't find anything but if I'm repeating a necrothread please let me know.

If its badges you are after, take a crack at genre wars, mine for example.

But on competitions, they come every now and then, you will notice pretty much all of them if you come to the site a few times a week.

Normally just quizzes, although there been a designing one, and couple of games and a few others...

Often times its just you make an entry and then you have a chance to win.

Like guess what this thing is, or predict some outcome, or answer some questions for a chance to win.

Either you vote for something/someone, submit a video/picture, or play a game. The most recent competition that comes to mind is the TF2 tourny where you had to register a team and play a few rounds to get the badge.
