Escapist Explorer Issues

Hi all,

Not an exciting subject I know, but I am curious if anyone else is having the same issues with The Escapist that I am having.

1. When navigating to a new page I often get a windows error box saying something along the lines of "Operation Aborted... blah blah blah". You hit ok and it goes to the Cannot Display Page error.

That one is not as annoying as the next though.

2. Upon submitting a post, Explorer or Mozilla or Safari just shuts down along with any other tabs that were open in that session.

Now I know that I can work around it, but I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this. It only seems to be endemic to The Escapist from what I can see.

Have you tried using other browsers? Nowadays, I used to have somewhat similar problems, but after changing to Google Chrome, no more problems

Yeah, have tried Safari, Firefox and Explorer all on a work laptop, home PC and a netbook with the same results.

Personally i've been getting little "fake" virus warnings from AVG loading in my browser out of the fucking blue. I doubt AVG has anything to do with it because its the type that shows whatever firewall happens to be present. I haven't seen it going to Escapist in about a week but something like online games yeah definitely. I'm gonna switch to google chrome and if that doesn't fix all my problems gonna switch to windows 7. All my friends and IT proffesionals say vista is worth skipping and just put in for the newest version of windows. I'm definitely thinking about it... i'm just not sure if I wanna spend the money.
