Games and Privacy

If you'd have asked someone 20 years ago what privacy had to do with video games you'd get a blank look. You'd probably get the same blank look today, but now it is becoming relevant. What information could publishers and developers learn, aggregate, and sell about an individual player? Sure, the XBox One can know who is in the room and is always connected, and who you play with is recorded on their servers, but what else? What about other devices? What kinds of psychological and emotional data can be obtained? What preference information can be obtained? Could a game platform about your hobbies, interests, or occupation? Can you be manipulated by your own games?

I must be turning dyslexic, I could have sworn it said "Games and Piracy" when I clicked on it.
