We have some air guns, but nothing big. We have a hatchet, a chainsaw and many knives though, I reckon you could do some damage with those :)

Depends on what you're hunting, and the ranges of the shots you have to take. People use them for elk in the western US (the Rocky Mountains), and I don't think i would feel comfortable hunting grizzly bears with anything smaller.
Huh, I imagined a .50 bullet would completely ruin the meat.
And shouldn't you be able to take out bears with regular hunting rifles?
No. You'd just piss one off with a small caliber rifle.

im fairly certain bb guns dont come in "calibres" as far as i know, bb guns ( all ) use compressed air. but if someone is to prove me wrong, so be it. .....but im darn sure about my statement.

I have a small caliber BB gun back at the parents. All I have here is a knife I made myself. I'm actually quite proud of it :) Lemme see if I can get a picture of it some time.

My stepdad owns a Persuader 590 Shotgun, A semi-automatic AR-15, and a couple handguns whose type I cannot recall.

The AR-15 is called Alice.

No firearms, but I do have a small amount of things that could work as improvised weapons, like a fist-sized chunk of quartz and a slab of malachite the size of a medium book. I also have a Swiss Army knife above my desk.

Edit: Here's the malachite:

Yes, one would think it would ruin the meat, but i didn't say I used one for hunting. And yes, you are able to take a bear with a regular rifle, and I could take one with my .270, but all I said was I dont think I'd feel comfortable using anything smaller on bears, not that you couldn't.

Mine actually uses a spring I think. It fires .177 pellets, which are apparently good for pest control... doesn't .177 signify a caliber? I'm not that big a connoiseur :)

My most powerful gun is a Winchester Model 70 chambered in .30-06, however, I couldn't go without mentioning my tacticooled WASR-10 (Romainian AK47 varient).

I was reading through a reloading magazine and a thought struck me. What kind of firepower does the Escapist pack?

It isn't my only gun but it is my biggest. It's my Noreen .50BMG single shot rifle with a x22 scope. This isn't a pic of it, but it is the same model.
Just curious; what do you need/use the gun for?
Is it only for fun?
I got it just for the hell of having a .50 and making fruit and prairie dogs explode. There is no such thing as overkill.

Firepower? Not a lot truth be told. I have a Springfield XD Sub-Compact (.40 S&W). I have owned other firearms in the past but when I decided I only had the two hands, I figured I should choose the best compromise between stopping power and size.

I also have a handful of legitimate (i.e. combat worthy) swords that I won in various fencing tournmanents. Strangely, even though I fence foil, not a single one of these was a small sword, dueling epee, rapier or court sword but rather a few examples of sabres and what I suspect is a very small incarnation of a katana (it's blade only measures 37" - a mere one inch longer than that of a foil - hardly requires the use of two hands I'd say).
