I don't know if this is the right place to put something like this, but there don't seem to be any better sub-forums. Anyway, to my point.
Recently (ish) The Escapist added a Twitch stream to it's front page. It's certainly helpful to those who would be interested about the stream and might now see it otherwise, but the fact that it automatically plays is quite bothersome, even more so because it's muted by default. Most of the time I don't even know that it's playing, yet it sits there anyway and eats away at my bandwidth, which has a monthly limit. It also slows down my computer while I'm doing other things. I tend to browse the web a bit between playing games and when I go back to playing I leave my browser on whichever webpage I was on. When it's The Escapist that I leave my browser on the video auto-plays, and it's muted so I can't tell it's playing, and some of my games lagg up.
Is there any way to make it so that the Twitch stream doesn't auto-play? Or is there nay way to make it not muted by default so I can turn it off right away?
