Escapist iphone app

I use the escapist on my iphone using safari and its not the most effective thing (i have to zoom in x10 to click one button, plus i cannot play videos) And i thought why haven't escapist released an escapist app? It would be simple and i'm sure they have the means to produce it. Thoughts on this?

I'm not sure if they will or won't make one, but I have one thing to tell you: If you join the Publisher's Club, you can play videos on your iPhone.

Just thought I'd let you know that there is that option out there.

As for an app...I'd be all for that, but I don't see it happening.

I'd love an android app as well. I use the Escapist on my phone already. But I have to struggle through it. Esp now that my internet is down, I've been using my phone exclusively to post. And its a pain in the ass

Because most phones with a proper mobile operating system don't need a site-specific application to watch videos, and not even the crippled iOS does if you pay the $20 a year for Publisher's Club membership.

As well as that, programming an iOS application is a pain in the arse, requiring one to work with the detestable Objective-C programming language, and the last thing I heard, you had to pay to get your application put on the App Store. I doubt they'd have enough traffic from the application to make it worth it - and one must note that about 65% of all smartphone sales come from both Android and Symbian. Nobody's ever suggested making a Symbian application for The Escapist, despite there being a lot more people with Symbian smartphones.
