I like the new Spartan they are showing.
Supposedly it's got an ONI logo on it's chest. Maybe a badguy? That'd be fun. Spartan vs. Spartan action.

I still want to know why Chief is wearing a cloak. Can his armour not withstand the withering hail of sand? I mean I know sand can be quite wearing but his armour frequently has to put up with dust, dirt and gunfire.
On Topic: When 343 took over for Halo 4 it did a much better story, in bringing out some of the previously un-emphasised lore, but the multiplayer wasn't as good a Reach or 3, which at the end of the day is how you are going to spend most of your time on Halo, so their biggest priority should be sorting that out. As for the new character, it seems to have a female build and the amour looks cool, and she seems to be a main character and just maybe they'll do something interesting.
Whatever happens it won't affect me for a very long time because it'll be years before/if I decide to purchase an Xbone.
(Also what the hell ever happened to Jun? He just kind of went with Halsey at the end of Reach and we never heard from him again. I haven't read any books or comics so if anyone knows I'd love for them to give me closure on that).

Its an issue of whether or not the suit can keep out the sand. The armor is perfectly capable standing up to sand provided it can keep it out otherwise I image a build up of sand would wreak havoc throughout his power armor. And normally this wouldn't be a problem since the suit is vacuum sealed for space. However, its possible that his armor is badly damaged (visor is cracked)and that his armor has several cracks. Its could also be possible that his shields are busted too.ambitiousmould said:

Jun is alive. In the comic "Initiation" he's a recruiter for the Spartan IV program though we still don't know how he survived Reach.ambitiousmould said:

Well here's the thing. Jun was given orders to escort Halsey to the "Castle" fortress before we last saw him. In the novel "First Strike" the Master Chief, Sergant Johnson, and 4 other surviving Spartan IIs rescue Halsey from the Castle base and get her off planet.ambitiousmould said:
The problem with this is that "First Strike" was written and released several years before Halo: Reach and Jun (or any Spartan III) didn't even exist in Halo canon/lore at that time. Spartan III's didn't come into existence until the "Ghosts of Onyx" novel.
In believe someone at Bungie once commented that we may never know the full story of how Jun survived and got off planet. Some fans speculate that the reason why is because doing so could lead to some serious continuity errors.
