To join The (dare I say; THE BEST WEBSITE IN THE UNIVERSE!) Escapist, what qualities or attributes would be needed. Apart from sophistication and intelligence?

There has been a bit of a dip in spelling and punctuation standards recently.

It's a good site, I'll give it that. But after you've been here for a while it gets a bit monotonous, the threads aren't as interesting because you've seen them all before and you just generally start to lose interest in it.
The Escapist is a lot better then some other forums, but it's nothing special and it has been going slightly down hill lately.

Speaking of getting worse, has anyone else noticed a slight drought of threads? Good ones anyways. I just haven't found anything to latch onto for a while, no interesting threads.

Exactly. I've learned to not talk about politics, religion, or anything else, so I never get in any flame wars anymore. It's just become overall boring, never having anything to respond to or talk about.

I'm refering more to the Vs threads that keep cropping up, Halo threads and Zombie Apocalypse ones.

It can be hard to tell. A part of me died when I wrote that, but it needs to be said that the difference is slight and sometimes unseeable. Grammar failures use, lets say, "2" instead of "To" Which is something both lolspeakers and grammar failures do. There is a difference, yes, but it can be unintelligible.

Tch, all you need is either an aggravating sense of elitism, a genuinely agile mind, or a complete sense of dickishness--you know the type; they troll, they create flame threads, they insult religion and politics just to draw attention to themselves.

Or, if you do try to have a genuine conversation/debate about those topics, it draws in the trolls and they ruin it for everyone else.

So, there are only some who possess sophistication and intelligence. Those people are great.

Yes, but I think the lolcat sentence requirements have write the entire thought in lolcat.

This is not lolcat approved, which is our vermin here most of the time.
