First topic:
You know how lots of facebook users will wither and die if facebook goes offline? Well, what would you do/use to fill the void if the escapist went bankrupt and shutdown? I don't use this site as much anymore, I don't feel compelled to make posts, as recently the threads are just repeats.

Second topic:
Who are you in favour of in the British Airway strikes? The workers? Or British Airways? If a workers union tried to pull a stunt off like that in a country like China, where there are more people than workers, the workers get sacked and immediately replaced. I think that the BA cabin crew should not take their job for granted and feel lucky that they even have a job.

Anyway, off to work for me.... back in 12 hours.
Edit: Huh... whaddya know... 1337 posts.

1: There are always repeats. Escapist does not represent the end-all be-all of social life to me. Heck, if I lost internet today, I would still have friends in real life, as well as plenty to do.

2: haven't been focusing on that strike, we had enough problems back here home with the harbor stower's strike.

1. You don't like repeat threads, yet this thread isn't exactly original. Oh the irony!

Anyway, I would find another site where I could hang out with my Escapist friends.

2. That belongs in the Politics & Religion forum.

I would have nothing to do on my laptop if the escapist shut down. It was like when MM started, I hopelessly refreshed the page until it worked >.<

Also I think they should accept the fact that there will have to be cuts since , well you know. The country's fucked.

1. I would either just find another forum, or not. I dunno, The Escapist isn't a massive part of my life. I would miss some of the people on here though

2. I'm indifferent as it doesn't affect me in the slightest.

1. The shut-down of the escapist wouldn't bother me too much, it's really just a time-waster for me. I've got plenty of real life friends and the people that I speak to on the Escapist, I also have on msn, so if the Escapist went bye-bye, I wouldn't lose contact with them. I would miss Zero Punctuation though...

2. I'm with BA in this case. We just got out of a bloody recession where everyone is scraping for any job they can find, and they're complaining and going on strike? Selfish people. They're lucky they kept their jobs through the recession so I don't understand what they're complaining about.

If Escapist shut down I would simply wander off and post somewhere else.

As for the BA thing - the workers have been dicks. I have read several times that BA cabin crew (for example) already earn twice what equivalent workers get with companies like RyanAir and Virgin. Plus we are still in recession (despite what Gordon "lying bastard" Brown says) and luxuries like holidays abroad are still waning. By virtue of this strike I am sure everyone who can't travel because of it, plus their family and friends, plus everyone who heard about it on the news will ever touch BA again (I know that I wouldn't) which could bring the company down. They should be happy they have a fucking job and keep their heads down for a bit. If BA busts and they all end up jobless then fuck them for being stupid twats tbh.

If the escapist died on me, I would be devastated. And I'd probably be reduced to rocking in my bed for a good three days while my mind was wrapped around the whole idea.
And then I'd have to assemble a team of individuals, and begin an epic quest to get the site back up and running.
...it is entirely possible I use this site too much >_>

Searched on Google and used search bar and found nothing for several pages of results, before I posted.
British Airways is neither a political group nor a religion.
