I can't figure out how to Chat - I click the Chat tab, but there doesn't seem to be a way to actually add some chat...

Make sure you are a member of the group first. If you already are...we'll look into it

A couple of things:

1) You must be a member of the group to chat in it
2) If you are a member of the group, try closing your browser and coming back in to make sure the browser knows you are a member.

Yep, the group knows I'm a member (it gives me the option to "leave", and it appears on my profile). I can see messages from others but can see no way to add my own.

Neat. Will a message pop in our inbox if a new announcement is made in any of the groups we join? If not, I think that'd be a good idea, with the ability to toggle which groups you receive messages from. ON TO TECH TEAM GROUP!

Absolutely throw this idea in the Tech Team group. In fact, it was discussed as a feature to add to the groups system. Just didn't make the initial launch.

Unfortunately, I am stuck waiting for Kross to finish up some server maintenance before I can publish the code changes.

Of course his reply when I told him I was throwing him under the bus for not having finished the server maintenance is to install Firefox

How long before we can set up borders and fight pitched battles? It's no good having groups if we can't go to war! (just kidding)


This is quite a good idea, if the group system takes off what are the chances of inter group competition (gotta have them pitched battles)? Either through gaming tournaments like the TF2 one just past or through something else more Escapist centric.

When I go to post in the Tabletop Gaming group, it looks like

I already tried refreshing and closing/restarting IE.
The same thing is happening in the Musicians group.

Thats what I'm getting. Apparently they are having trouble with Internet Explorer users, and are working on fixing it.

This should be fixed now. We had an issue with IE and unfortunately I was at the mercy of some server upgrades before I could update push the fix through.

You know what would be a good feature? Arranging the groups alphabetically. At the moment, its kinda hard to find stuff...
