I've been on this site for about a year now, but I feel as if there are a lot of good video series on which I missed out because they ended before I got here. For example, There Will Be Brawl had just ended when I really started following this site, but I just now started watching the videos (great stuff, for the record).

My question for my fellow escapists is this: what video series have been on this site that I should definitely look up?

Oh, and also, are Doraleous and Associates, Game Dogs, and I Hit It with my Axe worth watching? Those are the only three series currently running in which I haven't seen all the episodes and loved them :p

I started Doomsday arcade because someone listed one of the reasons you could tell how nerdy you were because you got all the jokes. Such a good series.
Also, I don't really like any of the current series that are on.
And, the beginning few episodes of unforgotten realms were really good, but i just couldn't keep up with all the new episodes so i don't know how the later episodes are.

Game Dogs I would advise against, I'd give "I Hit IT with my Axe" a shot, didn't work for me and it seemed pretty weak but who knows? Doraleous and Associates looks OK, you should try it.

Doomsday Arcade and Unforgotten Realms are my favourites. I also recommend LRR, but you can't be expected to watch the entire back-catalogue. It's huge.

To be honest, no one can tell you what you'll like or won't like. Best thing to do is just go to the video page and watch an episode or two of everything.

Personally I was a fan of Unforgotten Realms before the creator basically stopped making the darn things, selling the DVDs and kinda just left me in Limbo.

Also, I find Unskippable amusing when you've played the game it's commenting and everything else from the Loading Ready Run team is good, including ENN. Escape to the Movies and ZP are one's I still catch every week and waiting with bated breath for the next D&A, despite having a large inkling of where the story is going.

Just have a sniff around and see what you're into really.

Doraleous and Associates is certanily worth watching, I really wouldn't recomend Game dogs and I hit it with my axe. Also, If you haven't already, I'd recomend watching Apocolypse lane and Doomday arcade.

Doraleous is brilliant!

and Doomsday Arcade is a fantastic second (however I hated the ending).

I really like Doraleous and Associates, Sir Walken in particular is definately worth a laugh. Game Dogs was alright, but nothing to write home about.

As for I Hit it With My Axe, I've tried to watch it a couple of times just so that I could say I had watched it before getting acting all morally outraged and whatnot every time I hear it mentioned. That said, I've said many times that what I really love about The Escapist is that it has so much more mature an outlook on games than the juvinile way many other websites go about it... but I Hit it With My Axe feels like it sort of betrays that goal... that being a mature discussion about gaming. It's not all that funny, and its primary selling point is that it's pornstars playing D&D... talk about trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I'm not going to try and act all high and mighty and say I never watch porn... but I don't come here to the Escapist to see pornstars. But, if you do then go ahead and give it a shot. What little I have watched I've found mostly to be really boring... maybe somewhere in the episodes I haven't tried to sit through is something that makes it worthwhile, though I must admit I have my doubts.

There aren't too many of the series that aren't currently running that I really liked. Apocalypse Lane kind of grew on me, though Doraleous and Associates (which was made by the same people) I feel was a much better series. I watched the first 15 or so episodes of Doomsday Arcade (I think that was what it was called), it had some funny bits, but I don't know that I'd go out of my way to watch it. I also watched Unforgotten Realms for most of it's run, it took a while before I got to like it, and it wasn't the world's greatest series or anything, but it definately had some funny moments.

EDIT: I'd almost forgotten it, but De-rez I felt actually had some pretty funny episodes. So you might give it a shot.

You might like Drawn by Pain, I've only seen the first episode but it's got an interesting plot.

Kung Gu Grip and De-Rez are both very funny.
