- Despite owning at least $200 worth of RTS games and trying really hard to like them, I can't help but hate the genre, even though I love TBS and AOE2 was my favorite game when it first came out.

- I really dislike GTA games and feel that without the glitches GTA-IV would be one of the most boring games I've ever played.

- I have never played any Elder Scrolls games.

- Minecraft gets really, really, really boring really, really, really fast.

- Half Life feels like the most unoriginal game I've ever played, even though it invented most everything in it that feels stale. I just feel that since it's time there have been other games that have done every single thing in it better. (Thats not to say I dislike Half Life, it's still fun and all.)

- I found Super Mario 3 really really hard.

- I actually think that Infestation: Survivor Stories (previously known as WarZ) looks really pretty. Thats only because of an infaturation with poor textures born from Microsoft Flight Simulators and I fully recognize that those textures look like steaming piles of shit to everyone else, but I kinda like 'em. (The rest of the WarZ is still horrible though...)

- Despite the fact that its now becoming popular to say that you didn't really enjoy Bioshock Infinite all that much because of the limitations it faced following the Bioshock formula and the general non interactivity of the world, I still loved the game and still think it's amazing.

- For the longest time I though Treyarch was the name of a dude.

- I cannot do a single bad thing in any video game I play, I just end up feeling too guilty. This makes it almost impossible for me to finish any game that gives you an option to kill or spare someone, because I have to spare everyone or I'll restart. (I make an exception for genuinely bad people. Them I'll kill with no remorse.)

Is this another retcon or something? Because in the original game Sephiroth started the fire and murdered those villagers and personally killed Tifa's father.

ah fuck the compilation, it added nothing to FFVII.
He did that, but that's a relative handful of people compared to what he's capable of given his status as full on unstoppable war monster. Compare him to Kefka, he's a pussycat. But over the course of the actual game, you're chasing Jenova in Sephiroths clothes, not Sephiroth himself. He's actually kind of tertiary, that's the twist. It's just his influence over events runs deep. The whole story has undertones of reality vs mental state.
Oh ok, I see what you're saying now, that he's a villain but not really a supervillain on the tier of Kefka. You're right, it's more about what Sephiroth means to Cloud emotionally rather than his role in the world. Sephiroth is more or less the pawn of Jenova.

And I agree, he's pussycat compared to Kefka. I hope I didn't come off as too scathing earlier

As an aside: do you think modern final fantasy titles lack the undertones and literary prowess of the older ones?

Dead Rising 1 is the best Dead Rising.

Dead Space 1 is the best Dead Space.

Gears of War 1 is the best Gears of War.

I couldn't enjoy the GTA IV expansions after realising how slow everything was.

I loved the Tomb Raider reboot.

The Assassin's Creed series has turned into a pile of wank.

I despise the Fable series.

I thought Saints Row 3 felt much tamer than the rest.

I prefer pixelated/older games to newer ones like Gunpoint/System Shock 2 etc.

That I still love tf2 on some level, some shitty level I want gone.

I Roleplay my own little stories when playing through a fighting game in arcade mode or what ever.

Call of Duty is fun, having recently played it at a friends in a long time since having played it.

Resident Evil 5 best coop game.

Can't play horror games. I might buy one but it never gets played...

I played a half hour of half life ( 2 i think?) Before i got motion sickness to bad i chucked the game back into the closet.

Ive never gotten past dead mans drop in bioshock 2 and i never will because i not only raged quited I sold the game to buy lollipop chain saw

The first and only time i played teams fortress 2 i had no idea what was going on and my xbox controller wasn't responding and i accidentally shot and killed what I thought was a team member but turned out to be a spy but everyone on my team thought i did it on purpose.

I'd rather play KOTOR 2 than Dishonored.

Whoa, seriously? Dude, we're okay with a lot of messed up stuff on this forum, but that's just the worst.

I kid, I kid. I mainly game on a PC, but would like a PS4 in this coming generation.

I really liked Haunting Ground. I found the characters in Dragon Age II to be more interesting than those of DA: O (and while we're at it, I didn't really like Leliana). I think Final Fantasy VII is downright awful (but I somehow enjoyed Advent Children). I dislike Chie in Persona 4, and I never date Yukari in Persona 3 (I find her to be unbearably obnoxious). And as much as I enjoy watching someone play Wii/Wii U titles, I find playing them to be terribly boring. Last, but not least, I wish they'd just shaft Final Fantasy XV already in favor of Kingdom Hearts 3, even though I know they won't (and I haven't enjoyed a Final Fantasy game since X/X-2).

I have this sort of code, that when I'm playing a game I will never look at a guide or cheat until after I've beaten the main story of the game. You know, for secrets, golden chocobos, ultimate equipment, etc.

And I've recently broken this code on two separate occasions, and I am deeply ashamed. I just had to look up a walkthrough video for Catherine. That one puzzle was just too hard to crack. I also had to resort to the same tactic with Peace Walker HD, with the Interrogation Cell sequence. And I shamefully admitted, both times, that I would've probably gotten it on my own eventually.

Truly, I feel shame. And guilt. I made a mistake, and now I must live with it.

Also, I have way too many unbeaten games on my shelf right now, I disgust myself. I bought the whole Resistance Trilogy, and I haven't so much as touched it. Ugh, I'll get a break once this gen cools down. I'll jump on the next gen bandwagon a little late, catch me a few cheap titles and such to boot. I used to beat all my games to death, back in my glory days. I suppose this is adult life, huh?

Other than that, I have no secrets.

I didn't enjoy the original Deus Ex. I loved Human Revolution though so I downloaded the original off PSN when I saw it on there. Just couldn't get into it. The gameplay aged so poorly with its clunky controls and tedious inventory management. I did like the premise of the game but just couldn't get into it all.
I'm assuming the PSN one is the PS2 version? 'Cause that was bad at release.

I'm not necessarily recommending the PC version, though. It's also aged quite badly. Mostly in how it comes from a time when it was acceptable to have RPG protagonists start the game with so little upper body strength that they literally cannot throw a basket ball more than a couple of feet. It has one of the worst inverse difficulty curves I have ever seen.

I really liked Windwaker, especially the sailing.
I have never played Half-life.
I generally don't like playing games where I have to kill people. Unless it's used sparingly, or it's over-the-top.

Also I liked Dragon Age 2. (But it had potential to be so much more.)

I like Navi too. I like the design of fairies in that game, and 'hey, listen!' wasn't something I even noticed when playing the game.

I don't like any Nintendo games except Pokemon.
GTA is one of the most boring franchises ever made.
DAO is really boring and long winded.
The new Batman Games have a really stupid fighting system.
Deadspace has too many unnecessary hard parts.

Those are all the ones I can think of for now. Peace.

Pokémon Coliseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness are my favorite Pokémon games.
Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game, and sailing the Great Sea is one of my favorite moments of childhood gaming.
I cannot bring myself to play any kind of horror game that uses jump scares (environmental creepiness is fine, and on that note Lone Survivor was excellent).
"Retro gaming" has no special place in my heart, and I find older titles like Super Mario Bros clunky and repetitive.

That's all I've got for now, maybe I'll think of more later.

During vanilla wow I was part of my servers 'that one guild' full of abusive jerks

I liked the minigames from Pokemon Stadium 2 more than anything Mario Party had
I hit down+b in ALL pokemon games

I've never played Ocarina of Time
I memorized the strategy guide to Ocarina of Time when I was 5 and can recite it to this day.
I think Halo 4 is the best shooter of all time(I can already feel the hate for this one).
I've played Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 through to the end 14 and 7 times respectively.
I thought Half-Life 2's gameplay was below average.
I think any Mass Effect game is a better third person shooter than Gears of War.
For some reason probably linked to my inborn desire to loot in RPGs, I actually liked the planet scanning mechanic in ME2.
I can't abide any racing game in which I can gank the leader with a blue shell.
IMHO, Skyward Sword is an utter failure and deserves to go down in history alongside the Zelda CDI games. The Koloktoss boss fight was the only redeeming factor.
I am a pitiless ranged spammer with both Zelda and Pit in SSBB

I like the 2D Final Fantasy games (Mainly 5 and 6) a lot better than any of the 3D ones I've played (7,8,9)
I thought FF7 was just a decent JRPG. (I played it 2-3 years ago)
I think WoW was at it's best during Wrath of the Lich King (when they focused on making all non-hardmode content doable for normal people)
If my friends still played WoW, I probably would to.

I though Half-Life was great, and Half-Life 2 was okay (I played both close to release)

I love shooters like Painkiller and Serious Sam, but have never beaten either

I love strategy games, but have beaten VERY few, and the ones I have, I used a cheat device or looked up a strategy on the internet.

When with my gamer friends, I have a LOT more fun when we aren't gaming and actually prefer to NOT game when I visit. Online is different though.

I once used to be so addicted to gaming, that I skipped work, didn't eat, and stayed shut in my room for a week to beat Ocarina of Time. Never happened again THAT bad.

I used to play games on Easy or Very Easy when I was younger. Now I go back to play them on the same difficulty and I can't beat them anymore.

I can play guitar un-impressively, but I cannot for the life of me play Expert on Guitar Hero/Rock Band

I've completed Final Fantasy XIII 3 times and is my 3rd favourite Final fantasy after VIII & X. I also like the JRPG genre in general.

I play games on easy because I want the story more then the challenge.

I thought Mass Effect 3's ending was fine and a damn sight better then Bioware normally manage.

I hate First Person Shooters.

I have no problem with EA & Origin or Ubisoft and Uplay.

I love Nintendo games and think they should continue with what they're doing.

*puts colander on head and prepares to jump in ocean*

I hate skyrim. It is one of the most boring games I have played and all the npcs are like robots with brain damage.

I.e
"What about you? Do you hate the dark elves?"
*is a dark elf and is wearing no helmet*

That is toaster level intelligence.
