so, you die. you choose how, I don't care. when you die you 'wake up' in a room, with three doorways. One says on the door 'song' and the other two 'movie' and 'game' you MUST go through one door. All doors contain a doorless, windowless room with no escape. On the floor of the song door there will be an ipod. It has one existing song on it. On the floor of the game room there will be one existing game, one console of your choice and a 52" plasma top of the range tv with HDMI and everything. On the floor of the movie room there is again, a console of your choice, ONE existing movie of your choice and the same TV as above.
You are informed by a voice from inside your head that you muct remain in this room for 2 year, unless you choose the song in which case you remain inside for a mere 6 months. You are dead and so you do not need food/water/toilet breaks etc. You must choose a door and remain within for 2 years. Which door would you choose?

Game is easy choice, and be open or puzzle game.

Still, I'd go insane after 4.3 months.

Game room, with a Wii and Brawl.

Also, since I'm dead, do I get an ideal physique? Because if I do, and the room is large enough, I think I'd last quite a while.

I could choose Rock Band in the game room and cheat the music room. Honestly though, I think that because of the variety of ways I can play the game and (assuming I have DLC) the number of songs I can play in the game, I think I might actually choose that.
Alternatively, I can choose Russian roulette in the game room and end it a lot quicker than 50 years.

Also, you have a type-o in the first line. You said that there are two door when there appears to be three.

I would need a game with constant DLC, and able to possibly fulfill the other entertainment.
RockBand and Guitar Hero seem reasonable since it passes for a game and mp3 player, yet I will kill myself for the gameplay. *click, click, click* "TWANG!"

Song is the worst as any will go bad and annoying once you hear it the first hundred times. Also you can't see anything.

Movie can have a few songs, they are not the full ones (unless it's credits). Also you can act out every single character of Return of the King once you memorized it after the second thousand times.

I think the answer is obviously the game room. the decision splits here based on whether I would have internet access or not.
If I have internet, the console would be an Xbox 360, game would be Chrome Hounds.
If I do not have internet, the console would be a PS2, game would be Persona 3.

With internet, I'd probably last 5 weeks.
Without, I'd last 3-4 weeks.

Movie room. If the movies porn, I could keep going for quite a while.

After 3 months it'd get boring, but what I'd do is just watch very few parts of the movie just to get it up. Then I'd just do it again and again and again.

Game, anything multiplayer. (well not anything, but the best multiplayer game possible.)

That would scare people if they actually found out they were playing with a dead guy.

Edit: Also why the fuck am I only dead for 50 years? What's the point of this purgatory type place? Who the fuck gave me games? Why?

Then again I could ask the same questions about why I'm sat on this earth with this body and these games. I'd adjust soon enough. Carry on.

This sounds like the brain child of an acid trip but I'll play along. This is an easy question because any one of us could say the if they heard a song more than 30 times in a row, you'll start to resent it. With the game you at least have some control over what you're doing. I wouldn't bother with the movie for the same reason as the song

Hmmmm... Well the "game" leaves a lot open... Is it a game with realistic characters that would take 50 years to beat, because then i would do that? Or is it pong? (not very complex, no illusion of a social life) in which case a a movie, if it is a really good movie, with realistic characters who evoke emotion.

Obviously I'd pick some kind of open-ended sandbox game, or a game that I can mod.
And my console would be a PC, cus I might get some wireless reception.
But good luck getting a PC to last 50 years.

I get bored with songs and movies after a few rounds, nobody's ever gonna pick those.

I'd pick game, assuming it is multiplayer and I have internet. After two months I will go dog-sh*t crazy and attemt to kill myself while I am already dead. After 6 months, I will entertain myself by screaming over and over again. 18 months and I will be painting my toenails with my own blood while saying "I'm a pretty girl!" 20 months and I will have efficiently removed my penis with the motherboard of the Xbox. I will then talk to it in baby talk until I am released.

OK well first off, the way I would die is to suplex a cougar with dynamite strapped to it. As the cougar dies, it explodes and I would go with it.
Afterwards I would pick the game door and probably pick Oblivion or Fallout 3 for xbox 360 since an RPG would be the only genre of gaming that wouldn't get too repetitive after a month.
