here's my ideas (might be longer as i come up with more facinating stuff)

- Skinning a living human and find the best ways of keeping said human alive (good source of making painkillers )
- Combining egg and semen from different species and see what comes out of it
- Start messing about with the genes (removing some or adding some) of a baby to determine the effects
- Cloning humans or growing humans like you grow fruit.
- Developing new spacesuits by trial and failure (moahahaha)
- Transplanting gills onto humans (finding a way to actually making them work)

and some more
- developing a non-lethal bio weapon (like an alzheimers bomb or something)
- making Insorum (the zombie virus)

I'm assuming ethics-free science would also be budget-free, because it would be very expensive to develop a self-upgrading self-aware artificial intelligence just for giggles. Yes, if successful it would almost certainly lead to human intellect being irrelevant, and perhaps our entire species being pushed to the margins or annihilated, but without ethics who is to say that's a bad thing?

Hmmm, a couple of things i suppose.

1) Bio-engineer zombies and vampires. The Zombie would be made by attempting to animate a dead body, so it moves about and responds to stimuli but without a mind. Vampires would be made by gene splicing humans so to give them Vampire traits. Teeth, craving/need for blood, perhaps super-human strength, aversion to natural light, but no they won't sparkle.

I might then have a zombie V Vampire fight, just the lulz.

I would also try to create new species via genetic modifcations, and modify existing ones. I might try and make a flying pig. If i carn't make a flying pig via biological means, i will hook up its brain to mechanical wings. It can be a cyborg pig!

Ooooh! I would make the Borg!!

2)Give them the will and ability to convert biological beings into cyborgs
3)Hive Mind

Then i will have a Zombie V Vampire V Borg fight, and i will watch from my blast-proof fortifed observation deck.

Finally, experiment with mind control and other mental-stuff. Perhaps i could try to increase the powers of the human brain to such an extent that i can make a brain with "psychic" powers, so it can read other peoples minds and poseses telakenetic powers, i might apply some of these features, if proven safe, to my own brain. I would also, through drugs or cybernetic technology, develop methods of mind control.

There's a 'forbidden experiment' in the linguistics realm that would involve isolating a baby in its developmental stages and seeing whether or not they develop language all on its own. The going theory is that people acquire language through social interaction coupled with an innate ability to produce language. However, it's hard to make it fact without carrying out the 'forbidden experiment.' I'd be incredibly fascinated to see the results, but I couldn't do that to a child.

They've already done that. A priest isolated several children and ensured they heard no speech for years. He thought that they would reveal the language of god. They didn't talk. Ever.

Source? I'm calling shenanigans otherwise.

Also, I would to destroy the pain center of the human brain and record the results. Not all sensations, but actual pain. Wonder if I could replace it with mild discomfort? Also, if we go really fantastic: I would like to see the the effects of Dr. West's reanimation serum on living tissue. Also, Wolverine regeneration. I would love to see if that's possible.

There is a medical condition where people feel no pain. They tend not to live very long as there is nothing to tell them that sticking their hand into deep fryer for instance is bad for them.

Did I say I wanted to study that?! NO! I do not believe I did! I wanted to remove the pain center of a normal person; a person who had experienced a lifetime of pain and thus would know what hurts and what doesn't. I'm fully aware of Familial Dysotonoma and the lives those people live.

I see nobody has gone here, so I will be the first to say it:

I would study the effects of sexual abuse, both on the abusers and the abused, by recreating it in a controlled setting. The study would include Men, Women, and both sexes of children both as abusers and victims. Understanding its effects is the first step to understanding its causes as well as discerning effective treatments for each. What is the mental state of the victim before and after the abuse? Did their perception of the event have a significant bearing on the amount and type of damage they have received? Did the gender of the abuser make a difference in the effects shown? Did the gender of the victim affect the victim's perception of the events? How large are the psychological effects of age in both victim and abuser (meaning, is the abuse more harmful to adults, children, or similar in each case). Etcetera.

The information would be invaluable to psychology and even sociology as a study of deviance, as well as finally discerning a fully objective definition for the term "abuse" and effective treatments for it. Clearly the methods we're already trying don't, or only barely, work as it is.

I would be interested in all of the experiments to make the perfect human. We would speed up the cure to cancer, however we would have to pay with the blood of the innocent for it. The military would want to make the perfect soldier and the businessess would want the perfect workers. Those would be made then the wealthy would want the perfect bodies/lives. Your life would suck, however the rich would have a much better life thanks to your pain.

Plus several Soviet Children where locked up and never where taught to speak. Though many of them can say words now, they can't form sentences at all or correctly.
