i agree completely with her. my older brother played mafia's one and two and ran off to sicily to join the mob. two weeks later. BAM wacked. not i hate take two and all things related to mafia video games and violent video games in general. my little sister is currently being pimped out cuz she played gta4 and thought it is how women are supposed to act.

They don't have to ban it because it's a shitty game anyway.
It was a great game. I hated the demo but the full game was just fantastic.
I couldn't stand it. It was good gameplay, its not that. I liked the outfits & car designs. The game was just way too short and seemed to contradict itself. For example, why include a huge overworld if you don't need to at all? If you load up a level, your progress with, say, the car upgrades you've bought don't roll over from last time you bought them.

It may have failed as an open world game but, I just loved the story for it. It suceeded were many games fail, it managed to keep me interested, it made me want to know what was going to happen next.

Her father was murdered....
And that is really a terrible, terrible thing. Can we stop yelling, "Overreacting *****!" and look at her perspective for a second? I mean, if there was true tragedy in your life, then a game comes out that romanticizes the same things that cause it, you'd be upset, too.
I mean, imagine if someone you loved was emotionally destroyed by sexual abuse, and then Rapelay became a huge hit, with people finding such acts a source of mild amusement?

I'm not trying to justify attempted censorship here, I'm just pointing out that when terrible things happen, nothing makes sense, and you just try your hardest to try to make something right.
Tragic, yes. I feel for her. I'm curious how one person's tragedy is a sound basis for a national ban, though. People see the word 'game' and immediately think that whatever is the subject of the title is therefore being 'trivialised'. It's prejudice plain and simple, and anyone crying 'racism' at the same time is a hypocrite.

The way I see it, these types of people have 2 choices. Either play the game through before blurting out an opinion on it in public so you don't sound like an uninformed bigot, or simply refuse to play it, hell, you can even tell people why. Telling other people what they can and can't watch or play is nothing but sheer arrogance, though, and using your dead father to manipulate people's emotions into agreeing with you is, frankly, abhorrent. She should be ashamed.
